Right, I think I'm a numpty. I have been complaining about the mouse cursor on the phone being rubbish and jumpy.....turns out I had a little plastic protector on the button... how embarrassing.

I've personally never had a Samsung but always thought they look impressive however friends who have had them have often had problems with reliability - nethertheless i'm due for an upgrade next month so this is well worth a look imo :)

Never had reliability issues with Samsung phones. Have broken a screen once though, but through sheer stupidity.

I have owned a D400, D500, D900 x 3 and this phone :)

i had a play with this phone today in cpw

im seriously considering selling my omnia to move to this

anyone else done this?

I was very tempted to get an Omnia, but when i tried the I8510 I couldnt resist getting it. Im still getting used to a lot of what it does and I've had it over a week!

Ive never really got on with samsungs, had a few in the past, and gf always seems to get them. Features were always pretty poor and not as intuative as things like nokia and the iphone.
Have had my N95-8Gb for around 9 months and have had no problems, love the features and interface and how easy it is to install apps etc. So I think if samsung moves in this direction, they will finally have a decent range of phones that can be compared to nokia, previously most samsungs have seemed more gimic based.

This phone runs the same operating system (give or take a few new features) as the N95. You wouldnt even have to read a manual when moving from the N95 to this. I am delighted with mine

just a tip for owners and prospective owners of this phone-

turn OFF the auto screen rotation when using tom tom as if you rotate the phone it corrupts the on screen map. Voices still work but you cannot see where you are going!

anyone know whats happening with this phone on orange?

got a phone call from them today saying my contract is due to renewal and i asked for this phone but was told they wont be selling it for now and possibly for a long time as they did tests and it wasn't that good.

obviously have to take anything they say with huge handfuls of salt so hoping someone here would know better?

i hope it comes out soon with them as it's the only phone i want and every month i wait for it is more money wasted on this more expensive contract.
