Name this... whatever it is

It's an OcUKalien.

I once found a mosquito in a tin of HP beans, i took pics and went to environmental health with the tin and the pictures, they said it had probably flown in the pan whilst i was cooking, i explained i hadn't cooked them yet, they took my details etc and left. A couple of months later, after i had forgotten all about it, i got a big parcel delivered, 24 tins of various HP foods, from tinned all day breakfasts to beans etc.

That looks vile though, 'd have hurled too :S

I first bought some last week, when I went to get more yesterday I looked around and actually couldn't find any at all in tins. Sainsbury's own brand (I stress, this was not the supermarket I bought the Ravioli from) and Napolina toms were all in cartons.

No, it does look parasitic, but it's about the size of a 20p, which would be a huge parasite!

It's very squishy.

Blerrrrggh.

Well make sure you write a letter of complaint to whoever the company is who produced the Ravioli and include the said 'thingy'

Could be in for some money of vouchers me thinks.

when I was about 10 I found a black bean in a tin of baked beans I opened, I sent it back to heinz and they sent me a £2 voucher for heinz products.
I think I spend it on something stupid like power rangers shaped tinned pasta, but if they gave me £2 for a funny colour bean I reckon you will get quite a few "free samples" from them!

It looks a lot like part of a chicken's foot to me, with mostly just the toes remaining. Ravioli is beef though, so that is a little odd if so (but probably better than some ghastly cockroach thingy).

Maybe washing some of the sauce off it would aid identification.

I was not a big fan of ravioli before, but you have helped put me off it for life, cheers!
