NEARLY 2 YEARS WAITING: New Mustang GT PP is finally mine!

I think I'd prefer the rear spoiler if it wasn't body coloured and didn't have the bits in the middle. The GT350R spoiler is so much nicer.

The rear does look better overall though with the diffuser and quad exhaust. Active exhausts should be good, especially if they take in the feedback that people don't like how 'quiet' the current stock exhaust is.

Agreed, I would just paint it gloss black!

I am thinking Ingot Silver, every option including 10-speed and then go with black roof, black mirrors, paint big rear spoiler black and fit same front splitter as I have now. Go with forged dark silver wheels (darker than paint work).

Sounds ace for a factory option! Even more impressive is the car still has the centre resonator and it sounds that loud haha. Plonk on a H or X pipe and the volume will be insane!

I like Ford's description, the optional active exhaust has two settings, LOUD & NASTY LOUD. It also has the option to be variable too with RPM which is cool. :D :D :D

Ford are claiming all options available worldwide, I bloody hope so! :)

Given the vast improvements this car has, if I were you Gibbo i'd be looking to sell in ~6 months before people start dumping them onto the market to pick up the 2018 like you.

Unlikely to happen to be honest buddy, Mustangs are selling quite easily and my car on the Mustang forums is highly regarded as the best modified one in the UK. Already people enquiring about it. ;)

I will sell it once I 100% know what I can get and when I can get it. Not gonna risk being without a car for a prolonged amount of time to maybe make a further 1-2k, just not worth it.

Anyway here is a video of a car which has the full Performance Package 2:-
- GT 350 magnetic ride
- Uprated anti-roll bars
- Chassis upgrades (standard on all cars from MY18)
- Active exhaust
- 19" forged lightweight wheels with 4S tyres

That is the specification I shall go for but not that red colour, makes wheels look tiny and looks not so great in red!

After ever driving an M5 and Corvette which had HUD's I always wanted one, never liked the HUD's on sale they are bulky and display way to much information.

Still for £20 I took a gamble and got an X5 HUD from Ebay:

It did come with film for the windscreen to make the image clearer, but it actually made it to bold/sharp, so was more a distraction. A HUD should be like a ghost image so it does not distract you but is just their for glancing upon without realising.

Its not required, its more a toy, I taped over all the un-necessary stuff like voltage, water temp and other useless stuff to just leave me with RPM and speed. It is accurate too, matching speedo and RPM, but you can adjust it if there is not a match.

There are no wires on display, just a small 3" slim black box which I do not see when driving and is quite discreet in the windscreen.

Its a toy and at £20 is just a fun item, might get one for the M3 too. Also the pad works very well, I cut it too same size as the unit and even throwing car around nothing moves. :)

If some of them extras / improvements are on the my18 mustang, i might order one myself. All depends on the ££ though. Cant see them being the 36 - 40 k they are now.

That one a few pages back with headers is exactly the noise i want

In Porches line up you have standard suspension, then PASM which is like magnetic ride iirc and then as an extreme sports option you have Porsche Sports Suspension which is fixed, and sometimes called X73 suspension (no idea why)

I wonder if the magnetic ride is so good it goes on the performance car because a standard fixed suspension can't outclass it, or if they just don't want it to.

On the GT 350 there is a base GT 350 fixed suspension setup which is very good but in all testing the 350 magnetic setup out performed it on track and rode better on the road in the softer setting.

On these cars magnetic ride is an all round improvement, so very glad to see it now on the GT models.

I just went to look on Porsche to see which was more expensive, and the Sports Suspension is another £300 on top of PASM, but it is also magnetic, so its like PASM but with a more extreme sports mode when activated, which means Mag ride is the best option on a Porsche as well, so that all makes sense now.

Hi there

As rumoured Ford increased the pricing again on the Mustang. So the car I paid £35,385 for last January one year ago is now selling for:

35385.png

Ford are still refusing to do discounts on cars and those selling stock cars second hand with 20k or less miles are fetching around 35k.

Absolutely fantastic, zero depreciation due to limited supply and Ford constantly increasing pricing. I was expecting to lose 5k-10k after 1-2yr ownership with it being a brand new car, so this is pretty epic. :)

Yep, and the new model will be even more.

Yeah either way I do not win or lose. I would only win right now if I sold and did not buy another. :)

But either way, price goes up, mine is worth more, prices goes down, mine is worth less.

It just means when I sell this I will either break even or make money, but on the next one who knows, could be the same again because 2020 we get the brand new generation S650.

But no matter which way I purchased a fuel drinking V8, a car most here said would never succeed in the UK yet they are still sold out and holding value. Seems the Mustang is off to a good start. :)

P.S. I am expecting new model to be 39k base price, options I want easily 45k by the time I have added 10 speed, magnetic ride, active exhaust etc.

Pretty cool video's done from a different perspective than your usual review and a good look at the new colour Lightning Blue which is more or less identical to the press Liquid Blue the GT350 was announced in but was never made available.

Really loving the Lightning Blue, very tempted by that colour for next one, though as last time I will end up changing my mind 110 times before deciding. :D

Hi there

As rumoured Ford increased the pricing again on the Mustang.

Ford increased their prices on a lot of models today:

Fiesta
C-Max
Grand C-Max
Ecosport
Edge
Ranger

Focus (including RS) and Mondeo to increase soon with the new MY ranges coming out for them...

The X73 reference is the order code for the Sports Chassis. Also to confuse things further SPASM is the X73 setup but with the adjustable dampers from the PASM setup. This is meant to further enhance the sport / aggressive setup.
