Any backlight bleed which is not visible on the immediate inspection of the monitor (and you have to look carefully to find it, especially in high brightness setting) it's definitely marginal and it should fade away after the proper monitor burn in. After few days (or week) you will have the perfect panel uniformity. Happened to many users.Sparky__H said:EDIT: Dammit theres some slight bleeding from bottom left and top right but just a little
EDIT: Knocked Brightness down to 60% and its gone in all but the tightist angles.
Sparky__H said:Yep I know about the 3-5 day burn-in time required for bleed to soften off, but being its almost none existent now I have nothing to worry about

I Just ordered one, this is my first big purchase online and I think I'm having a panic attack going over and over in my head whether this was the right choice.
I had to order today so I couldn't wait and see what NEC have to say about the backlight thing.
If I do have problems with the backlight or anything else what's the process like to get it sorted? I know arse all about these things and I'm a bit worried about it. I know people who've had to send components back over and over again and I want to know I'm not going to be in that situation.

NEC have taken all our stock away and replaced it now just to be on the safe side. Will be interesting to see if anything changes because from the couple we've had out from our old stock there has not been any issues. However thumbs up to NEC from OcUK as they happily changed all our stock over for us at their own cost.
