Need expert advice on building a rig better than the Alienware area 51 threadripper edition.

Eisbaer LT 360 if you can fit it- no point going for 240 version as cant handle fully loaded coffeelake , cheap as well for what you get £95

as for air

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £83.69 (includes shipping: £8.70)

allows all 4 ram slots to be used with tall ram - and can handle 220w of heat ! will also cool hot VRMs

as for ram... Team group! either 8 Packs own for beastly overclock- mine handles 4000hz just fine or RGB glow to match the board

if your looking for best boards

I would think the ultimate system for gaming right now is probably going to have an i9 in it over a Threadripper or i7.

32 gb of the fastest memory your chosen motherboard will support, and get at least the same number dimms as the CPU has memory channels.

Not the current Skylake-Xs. They've been made slower with the new "mesh" core communication in order to scale. Quad channel ram doesn't make a difference and neither does capacity over 16gb.

If you want the best cooling then a full custom loop will probably set you back in the region of £400-£500

AIO coolers imo are not proper watercooling solutions & people seem to constantly think as they have an a AIO fitted its the same as a full custom setup.

AIOs serve a purpose but they will never match a full loop in terms of performance.

bepends, you've got EK phoenix with a slower DDC pump and alphacools incoming Eisbaer exteme with a D5 pump- both have proper water blocks - but then again true AIO and not CLC like asetek :)

Can I get it pre made and sent to me for that price?

Storage wise, I would go for an intel 900p 480gb drive for games and apps - this is available with an M2 connector, U2 connector or as a PCIE addon card.

Probably add a 1TB extra SSD too as 480gb might not be enough for all your stuff.
Didn't Intel do something weird to the cache in the latest i9's that tanks gaming performance?

I wanted to go for 32GB DDR4 Quad Channel 2666 MHz just taking 2 slots for room for the future. Pros and Cons? And which of those 3 boards is the best for gaming? Like if you wanted the best of the best performance which one would it be?

quad channel is only on x299/x399 systems and make no impact on games- rendering is a different story

i dont think any game has need for 32gb , not for a while, 16gb has only just started to make the list on recent AAA titles for best performance

Can you go into more detail about those x299/x399 systems you're talking about? I do photoshop stuff, would a 32GB but useful there?

You can buy a kit like this https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ek-w...watercooling-kit-3831109863268-wc-896-ek.html, but for the most part a custom cooling loop really is custom and built around the rest of the system so if you're not confident about it you'd be better off buying a full system

Something like this https://www.overclockers.co.uk/infi...700k-5.1ghz-ddr4-sli-gaming-pc-fs-467-oe.html
I see. Thought you can buy it and have someone pre-make it for you to install. Ok errm, whats the next best thing to that?

hobbie or in a professional use ? as you should be able to use 8700k just fine - more ram does help with editing with very large and layered files - seems scratch disk is a big help as well

Well its both hobbie and career choice which requires me to study on it. I also wanna have lots of stuff open without having to close them, hate having to do that *&(%.

Not to mention my gaming sessions and the time I spend on my Laptop are insanely long, stretching past a day.
