seems like the deadzone is loose and does the old usa wardrobe on wheels thing where u can move the wheel side to side quite a lot and it doesnt turn the car 
logitech momo wheel black one btw, carnt see no settings to alter the deadzone its driving me nuts as drift races are virtually impossible now

Yup I had that problem using a MoMo wheel, couldn't work out what was wrong with it, unplugged the USB=>PS2 Controller and it stopped straight away.

Had a quick blast on this, something doesn't feel right about the handling/controls. Steering feels really delayed, kinda 'spongey'. I increased my FPS a lot and tried a different car which helped a little but it still doesn't feel anywhere near as responsive as NFS:MW
Oh, and for those concerned about framerate, I found the "Shader Detail" and "Visual Treatment" settings make a big difference. e.g. with my current settings in the menu:
High shader detail = 52fps
Medium shader detail = 74fps
Low shader detail = 170fps
Visual Treatment high = 56fps
Visual treatment low = 74fps

Just played this game and I think the series is heading the wrong direction!
NFS:Underground 1 and 2 was awesome but most wanted and carbon just dont do it for me anymore.

I liked Most Wanted. i.e: A lot more than the Underground series. I thought it was a return to the good old Hot Pursuit game and it really did rock. All it needed was a night race mode and maybe some canyons - thats the only thing Carbon did that I want to see in a future game.

I think that the Most Wanted was the best that they have made in the series so far, as I am finding carbon a bit hard to get used to at all, as I preferred the chasing of the cars, and going through all the relevant stages to get to go for the next guy on the black list.
Also, having someone that took your car and acting like a complete jerk, there is a perfect reason to beat him at the end of the game
Carbon has better graphics, but requires a more modern machine to see all the improvements that have been made. There seems to be a bit more of a dividing line in this Carbon re hash, as some hate it, some love it. Always becomes a number 1 in the multi-format charts though, everytime!

I am using an AtominPlay Playstation 2 to USB Converter and the PS2 Controller, but in the game the car just pulls left, i cannot change the mapping in the settings in NFSC but they seem fine. Anyone else having this issue or know a fix

The annoying thing is there WAS a fix for this issue for a previous installment of the NFS series but I can't for the life of me find it anymore...

Scartch that, I've fixed it!
go to Device Manager. Click Human Interface Devices. Select the second of the HID-compliant game controllers and disable it.
It appears that the second port was interfering with the game. If you've got a 2nd gamepad plugged in the pad centres itself - without one, the second pad constantly pulls left/right. By diasbling the second socket, NFS doesn't get confused anymore!

I actually quite like the Wingman thing - adds a bit of atmosphere to the races. Also quite a nice feeling if you don't win the race, but your teammate does 
The storyline is developing OK for me, I'm 49% through and it hasn't made me vomit yet. They've done a much better job on the FMV sequences this time in terms of them looking realistic.

OMG this game well agnoyed me before.
I unlocked the SLR, so I wanted to get it, but I had to sell a car. It said that my DB9 was worth 100,000, the SLR is like 220,000 or something and I had 130,xxx so I thought ill sell the DB9, buy the SLR do it up with the mney I have left over and do a few races and do it up some more.
So i sell my awesome DB9 and for some reason my money only goes up to 193,xxx
I was like you ******* game what the hell wheres the rest of my ******* money. So I couldnt buy the SLR. So then I decided to buy the SL65 AMG, but then I had to sell my bloody great Alfa Brera. It said that it was worth 40,000 and when I sell it, I get just over 20,000 for it.
What the hell.... So i then have to do a few more bloody drifts so that I can get the money to do up my SL65.
I got really agnoyed and because auto save was on it saved it as soon as I sold the DB9. But all is well now my SL65 kicks ass, and its time to batter Darius and his little crew.
