Need for Speed: Shift 2: Unleashed

Still need a few tweaks for ccc panel, getting better FPS but game is very jaggy and not up to standard for me graphic wise.

yea you need to force some real AA somehow the ingame AA misses loads of stuff, on my nvidia rig the game looks so much better forcing AA with a nvidia inspector profile..

maybe try renaming the exe to "shift.exe" aswell any performance enhancements in your drivers should help shift 2 aswell seeing as the engine is pretty much the same

those settings have hardly done anything for me. I just want to see an actual screenshot to make sure i have the right stuff

make sure you clicked the "add application to current profile buton" and find shift2u.exe or it wont do anything

did you disable ingame aa aswell? heres my games config which you find in your documents

Shift 1 needed supersampling set to at least 4x to get rid of any aliasing, so I wouldn't be suprised if Shift 2 is the same.

Using 'edge detect' instead of 'box' as the aa filter type might look better if supersampling slaughters the fps too much.

have to say from the brief hour of playing it's brilliant, the autolog feature is going to make things real easy for best times and stuff..

I'll have to grab that nVidia Inpsector thingy and try those settings, but framerate wise fully maxed it's as smooth as Shift 1...

maybe its because you dont have the advanced settings showing in your nvidia drivers control panel?
under 3D image> adjust image settings with preview > select use the advanced 3d image settings and click apply and see if that makes nvidia inspector show the options the same as mine

heres my shift2 nvidia inspector profile
try to import it?

Anyone finding the cockpit cameras way too dark?

Found a forum post which said you should untick "Enable Surface Format Optimisation" in the ATI CCC... but with that unticked, although it's much brighter, my game just crashes at random points during a race (screen goes bright yellow and I have to reset the PC).

check my latest screenshots in the high res screenshot thread :P
looks so good! almost real.

teamvvv guy finally got the pc version he says the handling is miles better than the ps3 version he had been playing so if any of you haters are slagging off this game in the pc section based on what you played on a console GTFO!

Enjoying it so far. Definitely takes a few hours to get use to the handling.

Not sure if i like the helmet cam thingy though, just the stock cockpit view for me.

Decided to go for it and went and bought it this afternoon :P Having to play on medium graphics 'cos I think my GPU is a bit too sloppy for it :P

Although I got my wheel set up nicely and I'm enjoying it so far :D Would like to see a patch soon just to try and fix the few niggles I've seen so far, though.

im sorry but how the efffff do you do the drift events with a wheel? the throttle control is impossible with pedals. Seems its made for use for fingers ad triggers
