shift 2 input lag just shows some people showing the games steering wheel turning a fraction slower than the actual wheel...

which is known to be nothing to do with the actual handling because the steering wheel animation has a delay even oif the wheels are turning as they should.

Has anyone managed to log into the autolog online yet? I can't get it to work? Been trying over the last few days and nothing!! :mad:

100% false, this is a common myth. There have been videos showing the same with just the tires moving. Nothing to do with the steering animation at all.

Well I'm now addicted to trying to beat my time around the Nurburgring

Radical is the quickest by far, don't think anything can come close to it!

McLarens MP4 with the works package is quick, good fun round the ring too.

juls who does the minimod was one of the first people to say the steering animation is delayed even if the input is not...

have you tried changing the cars suspension to about halfway? by default all the cars are setup soft so they dont react quickly.

i hate the ring theres always 2 corners where i slightly go on the grass and get the stupid "lap time will not count" rubbish even though theres no bloody advantage its just 2 wheels slightly going over the grass...

6.35.171 - I can beat that though, still getting used to the track. It differs slightly from the original Shift.

so is this game any good? I played a little of the first one on ps3 thought it was ok, is this good on PC?

Is there more car selection than the first?

Depends what you want in a race game! Read back quite a few pages you should find your answer.

I love it! I am a Sim Fan, not Arcade and I really think it has potential. Not to be a Sim but something very close!

You will need a wheel to play to its full potential though! IMHO

That lexus eliminator round had me curseing and shouting,fist shaking, try to get past the first cornor without hitting something

must have ended up restarting 15 time or so,
but boy did i have a grin on my face when i managed to get clean lap

someone said they unlocked it in this thread a few pages back i think it was, thhe internet doesnt seem to have a list of unlockable cars and which race series they come from.

ok i finally found someone discussing it on another forum, seems likely its from the A invitational event on the ring.

nice just did it

finished in second place but still got the car i was leading right until near the end but got overtaken 2 -3 corners from the end lifting off slightly to early on the last fast section :|

i had a time of 7:34 but didnt get on the autlog wall because i clipped the grass at a chicane slightly.... i wish they would fix that crap! in multiplayer if you take a shortcut you just get a 5second pentalty where your car will only go slow but atleast u get a time! i would be happy with that in single player

ffs bathurst in teh dark during the works championship makes me want to rage...

especially when farting on an armco barrier makes the screen go black and white...

Ive got some pretty bad graphics glitches with the game, running catalyst 11.3

Sometimes all the cars are rainbow coloured, sometimes its just the reflections that are purple. It also performs badly, and I have no trouble running shift 1.

At least I havent got the black cars bug I guess...
