since upgrading to windows 7 i cant even play the game, installs fine then when u load game, loading circle things appears, rotates and few times then goes and no game load. so annoying.

Did you upgrade or do a new install? should always do a full install with OS.

I've been on Win7 64bit since RTM & the only problems I have is Firefox crashing and freezing, but my guess is that this is a Firefox issue.

I did a new install, and have to say it's been bullet proof so far.

Interesting that the two fastest times now are with people NOT using the "superior" body kit. Is it a case of less is more? The fully modded car is a nightmare to keep on the track and I've had a few 44's using a LESS powerful version.......

My first and probably my only attempt this week.

Flying out to Kuala Lumpur in the morning, plan to be back late Sunday night.

Looks like I'll be dropping a lot of points this time.

As this car doesn't want to turn in at all (severe understeer) with balanced settings I've tuned my car to power oversteer to get round corners.
Between T-1 & T-2 e.g. I'm using the loose rear end to quickly change direction, bit of slight drifting if you like. It does sacrifice a bit of stability on the straight sections though, although there's not really a major straight apart from the weavy last sector.
It's great fun sliding this car about.
My time using NOS. Can get into the mid to late 43's without it.

Sweet
I am going to try to reinstall my game anyone know where the save games get stored don't want to start again and i need my fix of shift.
I installed Win 7 at the weekend so I've been through this.
The save files are located under 'My Documents' > ' NFS-Shift'. The folder size for me was about 2 megs surprisingly.

Well done Nikaz, I won't be attempting to beat you. See, told you it was a bloody drift track!!!! :D Will wait for next week and hopefully we'll get a "proper" track !! :D

Go on!! Have another go. You know you want to.
The track isn't the best by any stretch of the imagination, I agree. For me though (I know I chose a NOS car one week) using a NOS car prohibits the amount of timed laps you can do. Use all your NOS then cruise around for the rest of the time trial waiting for the end results to come up to take a snap shot. If I get the opportunity to select car & track again I won't be picking a car with NOS capabilities. It does mix it up though which is a good thing.
