Need for Speed Shift - Time Trial Championship

presume you're ok with any colour as long as you have the Ford Racing Stripe. The stripe is not available as a vinyl so cannot be used on the bought car.

That's correct. ANY COLOUR WITH STRIPES as per the example of anihcniedam, inam22, Marine & zytok

Tip - Count how many key presses it takes to select the skin you want. Memorise it. Next time you select the car and the annoying loading icon/ swirl thingy is on screen, press the change appearance key the number of times required. Low & behold the car has changed to the require skin whilst loading. Saves a little time

Hey. Has that got a stripe paint job. Well not any more it hasn't LOL

I'm uploading a one lap vid to utube at the mo. A 1.28.670. Hope it helps a few out. Of course I'll post as soon as slowtube has published

He he still getting faster though, just this car has too much power and is quite long so makes it hard to corner.

And to think some wanted the more powerful 780 bhp version. (Just kidding)

T-1
Just before turning in get off the gas for about a half a second, no more then turn in & floor it. Keep practising till you find the right turn in point. Seriously once you suss it out you'll hardly ever go wide at that corner again.

T-2
What can I say? Brake as late as you dare. My vid will show where I brake. Taking the actual corner is just getting a feel for how much gas you need to hold to keep the car stable & in check. It's one of those corners you'll hardly ever take the same way repeatedly. Sometimes the curbs help you out, other times chuck you into the wall, so I try to avoid them

T-3
Straight forward right hander. Whether to brake get off gas, really depends how much speed you carried down the hill.

T-4, T-5
This corner probably catches a lot of people out. Enter the first part slow, brake early - maybe take 1st gear. Hug the right. Don't worry too much about the curb, you can ride some of it. Try and hold a steady speed on the gas while negotiating the 2nd part. DON'T jump on the gas too early, wait for the car to straighten and apply gas smoothly. You should catch 4th gear before braking for T-6

T-6
Now this may sound a bit off. Approach from the RIGHT in 4th gear and straighten the car as best you can so it lines up with the curb on your left BUT DON'T touch it whilst dropping to 2nd. Now take the right turn grabbing a little curb if you dare but not too much. If you approach from the LEFT the entry to the right hand turn is too narrow and you have to ride curb on left and right.

T-7
Take this corner in 2nd. Try to follow the racing line

T-8 (Chicane)
Approach in 4th gear. Off gas slightly (feather) as you aim to the left curb (there's a curb before the chicane at the end of a wall I think). Again DON'T touch. Now SMOOTHLY turn towards the right whilst applying more gas. Try to avoid running to wide (left) for approach to the next corner.

T-9
Drop to 2nd from 4th. Now your gonna get your drift on. Apply the gas after initial turn in controlling the slide with small steering & throttle inputs, running as close to the wall as you can without touching it.

T-10
Approaching in 4th gear brake about a car length into red zone drop to 2nd and turn in controlling the rear with steering & throttle input.

T-11 & T-12
Take T-11 in 2nd (1st gear if you're brave) keeping in mind the exit at T-12 is the priority here, so don't overcook it.
T-12 has a black curb which is OK to ride. Don't be too timid with the throttle here. Aim as straight as you can for a good exit over the black curb and floor it. Run to the Finish for a perfect lap

Thanks for your help again Nikaz (asusual).

Having trouble with this selection, finding it too much to control and steer with one hand.. to many tight turns. Wish i could change to manual aswell. The g25 gearbox is just gathering dust... oh well maybe one day.

Bit of a moral dilemma here, watching Nikaz' vid, there are at least two places where he could shave quite a bit of time and it would seem rude not to share. Thing is it would be nice for someone else (preferably me) to win for a change......:D

It is weird though that he seems to be able to make up time in areas that I just can't so don't know whether it is a case of manual gears or just better driving. For example I believe you go through turn 1 in under 7.5 seconds, I can't get under 7.9 and I'm not drifting wide or letting up for more than a fraction either......

Who says that's my fastest time?

I thinks its time to try manual gears again, i did try manual gears last week as well but my best time with M.G was 1.39.This week if i can get use to M.G i can see improving my time a lot due to heavy breaking zones in this track but i am keep forgetting to change the gears all the time.
