....makes me wonder why EA released this game when it was not ready ... or they've taking a huge wad of cash from NVidia.......

.....guess i'll just have to wait for the patch ....

Well ive got mine set at a playable rate now, on a single 4850,(not tried this setup in crossfire yet) min in game is around 20fps, highest in game 30's fps, but seems playable now, it seems the more options turned off in options/gameplay/driving and changing control settings seems to help the frame rate to some extent.

i have an idea all the assist options are hitting the cpu hard which is trying its best to do the Phsyx thingy and it cant cope with both very well

this is still not perfect handling with my xbox 360 pad but its better than what it was

what i did in order was to unistall the demo, then unistall nvidia physx from controll panel , then unistall my 9.8 catylyst drivers, get new 9.9 catalyst and install, then i found this "PhysX_8.09.04_SystemSoftware" and installed it, then i found this "PhysX_SDK_2.8.1_build_13_for_PC" and installed it aswell, then installed the demo again and its playable now with my settings for controllers and graphics as above post :D

You really find that framerate playable?

The system requirements do seem excessive, in light of how well GRID runs. GRID is much better coded I presume.

It runs absolutely beautifully on mine with everything full so no problems there. The speedo clocks appear to display 'km/h' in text regardless of the true setting which is odd.

I am running the game with a 4850 and havent had any issues so far, in fact it runs very well with very respectable frame rates. (Catalyst 9.9)

You have a very beefy GPU though, in fairness. Mine is modest but I think it should still achieve over 30fps at all times when settings are medium or low. I can max out GRID and get 60fps after all.

Are you running it in Vista/Windows 7 and it looks different to what it does under XP? Because to my eyes GRID looks far more realistic.

I played on Windows 7 x64 - I play max settings for both games and grid looks less realistic than Shift, easily.

Compare any GRID screens online with my Shift screens or anyone else's and you'll see.
