Oh blimey, got a Fatal Error on Core 4 during the test. "Rounding was 0.5, expected less than 0.4.
Temperatures have not jumped 5 up due to this. I'm stopping the test now as I've got dinner. Will, begin again after and see if the same happens
Problem could be not enough vCore or not enough juice to the memory (or both). As it failed on blend - and that stresses the memory, as well as the CPU, we'll amp up the memory first.
Restart - enter the BIOS - AI Tweaker - set the memory voltage to 1.55V - F10 save and exit. This wont affect your temps - which is why i'm trying this first.
Run the blend test for 10 minutes again - check all the usual...
We're currently running the memory at 1.5V as the rule of thumb is that ideally you don't run the memory more than 1.55v on sandybridge - especially when clocking.
The reality has proved that this hasn't been an issue - but we'll follow protocol for now.
