For my ref and update correct if any errors - doing upgrades from memory the rest from first page...

CPU: i5-2500k 4.2GHz (now)
Memory: 8Gb @ 1600MHz
Motherboard: ASUS P8Z77-V LX
GTX 1060 Gigabyte (i must have picked )
Power Supply: 600W Quiet 80 Plus QUAD Rail PSU
Case (If necessary to know): InWIN MANA-136 Case

No (not yet anyway).

I don't recommend buying anything unless i'm 99% sure it's the problem when troubleshooting - especially when it comes to other peoples money. (New builds a different matter).

Have you found the Extreme Memory Profile setting yet (XMP)?

You should see an X.M.P. selector - set to profile 1 (or what ever displays 1600)

Oh actually when I'm on the manual mode, au tweaker, I've noticed the memory frequency is on auto, I presume it shouldn't be!

Change to manual and you should be given access to XMP. (unless you have access the ignore that)

I'm not totally familiar with MB (ASUS) - but principle is usually the same.
