Netflix is now in the UK

EDIT: Mr Krugga: It isn't Netflix that won't stream it. It's the film companies that don't want them to do it.

I know that, unfortunately it's irrelevant to my experience with Netflix.

I'm in the US and you're talking out of your rear :p They have TONS of stuff streaming, and although they may not have the latest stuff straight away (although they sometimes randomly do...), it's still a massive amount of content for the price. The quality is also excellent and the service reliable, although I suppose that depends on your ISP. I really couldn't be happier with it. I don't even have cable/satellite anymore - just Netflix and the handful of regular over-the-air stations.

I have my doubts about the quality, all non-HD titles look pretty terrible on my display (it's a 2560x1440 screen) and HD content is equivalent to average 720p rips.

Yes. Are you on Virgin Broadband?

Nope Sky Broadband and how weird I was just watching a film on the English version after it ended I went back to browsing to find it had now returned to the American one  oh well glad its back :D the English one just does not compare.

True story, back to the US version.

I'm assuming those of you who were using Unblock.us did actually sign up and it's not just your 7 day trial running out?

Just keep re-registering with you gmail address but use the plus addressing they provide.

I.e main address is say [email protected] you can do [email protected] [email protected] etc

ah ok.

if you are using the dns addresses on the ps3 for example though how do they know when your trial has expired if you dont ever give them an address and how does that email address relate to your online activity?

I wondered that, maybe you get a specific DNS address when you register rather than the general trial one? Maybe it's tied to your ip?

Oh and regarding the gmail + addressing, really? For the sake of what £3 a month? I'm sure they will catch on soon enough to that.

I'm sure Netflix will catch on long before then :p

if it was tied to your ip then surely the gmail+ thing wouldnt work plus I presume people are using this service from more than 1 ip and only having to pay once.

Well my unblock-us trial is up and I'm on a static IP so I can't re-register :p

My trial has expired as well and if I use the unblock-us DNS servers on my PC and visit Netflix it redirects me to unblock-us saying I need to sign up. However on my PS3 using their DNS servers it's still loading the US Netflix and working fine. Very strange, I don't really understand how they can stop you using it for free on the PS3.
