Heard the other day that micro LED is much much much further out than originally thought due various reasons but mainly, the manufacturing speed, apparently it took 3 months just to make one TV :eek:

So yeah, unless monitor manufacturers jump to OLED and find a way to reduce burn in even more then it is going to be a long wait so FALD with LCD is as good as monitor die hard owners are going to get.

You'll be paying the early adopters tax with these panels.
I think I will give them a swerve simply based on price. I can't justify that kind of cost, particularly for only 27".

What they should do, is replace the X34 / PG348Q or around that price, then those monitors would go down in price or discontinued, but instead they have just made a new price bracket with is terrible value considering you could get a monitor AND a 55" TV for the same price!

34" 4k would be good I reckon, approx same width as 34" 21:9 but taller.

27" though is too small, I currently am using a 40" TV as my monitor is back for repair, I would say 40" is too big but 34" would be good. Still would have a more than good enough 130PPI.

I'm much more interested in the new 43' 4K 120Hz panels, as usual the Korean's are ahead of the game. Prices don't look that bad either ^^

Hm that does look interesting, ca ignore the HDR though because that monitor would not be good for HDR, but that does look good 43" 4k 120hz etc.

Also the thing that puts me off those brands is that they are imported and if for example you received a monitor with very bad backlight bleed or whatever then you are stuck. Or is this different now? Last time I looked at those was back when they had 27" 120hz monitors etc.

Actually no it has DP 1.4 so no need for those shenanigans.

Ahhh I heard wrong then maybe? That's great news :)

Are these available to buy yet?

edit - Tweaktown state that it needs 2xDP1.4 instead!! Holy **** that's some serious bandwidth :eek: Ahhhh, HDR is in there too

More info, looks like one DP can be connected fine (guessing no HDR or something);
