*NEW* 2015 Dell Inspiron 15 - 7559, i7 6700HQ/GTX960M owners thread

Done! it's installing now. I really appreciate your help :)

If I don't have the lan cable plugged, it will install all the drivers anyway, right?

I mean the newest ones that can install windows, not the dell bloatware.

It will install the drivers that were on the Windows iso at the time of creation.

Once you have installed and logged into your account just run Windows Update and it will install all the drivers for you. Then just install the Realtek drivers and the latest Nvidia drivers and that's it job done...

LOL windows installed realtek dell audio by itself (the problematic version). Is that okey, right? I didn't run windows update, it did that by itself xD

I think it will install only generic audio drivers. Now im going to download the realtek website ones.

Setup done! Windows 10 installed all drivers (yes, the nvidia ones too but i updated it). Now the laptop flies without all dell bloatware.

Also reboot problem gone, it was a bloatware problem. Leasson learned for the next time :p

Thank you again!!!

Just received an prealert email from dell saying that the laptop is due for delivery tomorrow but the syncreon details have not updated since it was dispatched from the manufacturing facility. I'm not convinced and don't really want to take the day off to wait for it if it's not going to arrive.

Can anyone shed any light on how accurate these emails actually are?

My syncreon details didn't update either. I also had no correspondence from Dell about my order ETA, the first I knew was a text message from UKmail on the Friday telling me to expect a delivery on the Monday and if I wanted to reschedule or not.

So if you haven't had anything from the courier then I wouldn't trust their ETA, no.

Hi all, great thread ,I have been following closely and the excellent info on here helped me to make the decision to buy this laptop. It arrived yesterday, but unfortunately my initial feeling of excitement was quickly tempered by the very audible noise while tapping, even lightly, the touchpad. It is quite hard to accurately describe but it sounds like it is loose, rattling, almost amplified in an acoustic guitar sort of way.It sounds really cheap and just plain wrong, not something you could live with.I will obviously have to return the machine, but just wondered if any of you have similar problem or have maybe found ,or know of a fix.Thanks.

Nope do not have that mate. Mine only clicks if I push it hard enough it's silent otherwise.

Sounds faulty tbh.

If you call Dell they might send an engineer to your house to replace it that's what they used to do not sure if they still do though.

Just got a £799.99 settlement for my old laptop - this one looks the best thing I can buy in that price bracket.

Just before I order - is the SSHD any good or is it worth grabbing an m.2 drive to stick the OS on?

Grab a 120GB Samsung 850 Evo Sata M.2 drive for your O/S it's considerably quicker. The SSHD is fine as a storage/Games drive.

Thanks for the very quick response moogleys.will do as you suggest and see what dell come up with before returning, shame as every thing else is pretty much perfect. Thanks again for all your input on this thread.

Well I've just been told that it'd take 2 weeks to ship - the 2-4 days advertised on their website is the date from when they arrive in the UK but they ship from China so it takes around 10 days to get here. Not particularly impressed at that!

Just to confirm I do not have this either, seems you've been unlucky.

That is a bit of a downside mine took around 10 days. There are other sellers selling them if you search but personally I would order from Dell and just wait it out....

I've just done that, thanks :)

Dell Outlet refurb (1080p, 8gb model) with Student discount and an 850 from OCUK. Total a shade under £620 - very happy with that!
