Didn't say i was taking it at ghospel. but i see no reason why they would lie.

UT is a highly optimized and verty well built game though. Not all games are going to be like that.

If Gow and UT are so similar why such bad performance? The GTX doesn't manage the higher resolutions with AA either.
 
unreal 3 engine doesnt have AA built in so your forcing it with nvidia cards hence the bad performance. I beleive you cant even force it with ATI cards just now.
 
Kinda just speculative the power of these new cards until we see reviews. Suprised we haven't had any yet as the release of it is slated for 2 weeks time

Isnt this just the normal NDA way of fthings now? (unfortunately). Whats even more pathetic is that no doubt the release date will be in that NDA as well, so Gibbo wont be able to comment on that either.

Not sure, I thought they were supposed to actually be released tomorrow but got delayed, or the Nov 19th date was an initial rumour? I could be wrong though - hopefully am as I'd like to see more information about this graphics card :)
 
Well I'm hoping it's an announcement tomorrow with availability on 3rd Dec but then this wouldn't tie in their their new policy of "hard launches", however hollow that may be in practice given the 8800GT fiasco.
 




Compare with the G92-GT back. Same card, bar the cooler. If only the extra cluster so 128SP and no extra ROP's. Then assuming the same headroom as the GT, then 15% faster clock for clock. Obviously with the same frame buffer bandwidth limits.

Most likely due to the G80 -> G92 change so requires a different cooler even if the card size is similar/the same. Or maybe this is a more efficient design than the original 8800 GTS' cooler. Those would be my guesses at least.
 
Nice card! I like it! Any idea how much it will cost on ocUK? I need to put some money aside if I am going to get one and finally play some games 1920x1200!!

The G92.8800GTS is officially released on Dec 3rd ..

They should be available to buy on this date from many suppliers, with more following when stock is fully distributed.

we shouldn't see the same mass shortages we saw with the GT.
