Got a quote and was about to pay when they said I’ll have to check and get back to you, later on I was told sorry it’s not available in the UK yet... Quoted me £626 for it. So gutted I was about to finally manage to buy some computer stuff this year.

So gutted I was about to finally manage to buy some computer stuff this year.
Same, waiting fairly impatiently for at least confirmation of price. Not having a 3080 to get the most out of it is tempering that excitement a fair bit mind.
Other monitors on Dell are also saying fairly lengthy ship dates, which would be additional wait.
Would be great to have a proper review too, barely anything out there on that front considering people in the US already have them
I would actually be surprised if the price is as low as some have suggested. Dell do not seem to just use the exchange rate to convert prices. I would not be surprised if it is £1499 or even as high as £1599 - which is much more in line with LG offerings. Also, I spoke to Dell UK yesterday and they told me that they have no date yet for the 38". Now of course information from a sales rep can't always be trusted ( in fact, can it ever? ), but another surprise may well be that it doesn't appear as expected on the 27" of this month ( Nov ).
Agreed, I think it's going to be fairly expensive at launch. I'm in no rush and will hang on for a bit to see if there are any discounts.
That said, I can get 20% off through a work discount scheme but only until the end of Jan...
The 34" non-sale price is still listed as £1,300, which is making me pretty cautious about getting too excited. My bet would be £1,800 full price, sale for £1,500, which would be hard for me to justify.

He will no doubt be the first English speaking review of the screen from what I can tell, and will feature plenty game play footage and feedback from a content creator perspective. Enjoy the heads up.

That came from an official Dell press release we were sent. I’ve been chasing that same team ever since for updates and availability and they’ve not got any further details. It’s available in some other regions but no idea what’s happening in the U.K.

Alienware AW2721D was also supposed to be $1100 and it was already available on Amazon for like $800. I've also seen someone on reddit saying that AW3821DW will be available in Australia and New Zeland also on 26th/27th November, for a price that after conversion was 1399 EUR. Same exact story as here. Price difference is also similar to the typical difference between Dell's MSRP and actual retail price. Question is whether that 26/27th date will actually stand, it is strangely quiet

I saw somebody post earlier that they predicted it would go up after their black friday sales have ended. They currently have the 34" up for a record low of 829. They had something like 2 grand off the 55 inch BFGD that is now sold out. So it going up for sale This weekend or Monday seems like the most probable time once black friday is over.
I did tweet at Alienware and they told me to look out for it at the end of the month
I’m getting twitchy fingers as the current 34 inch keeps popping up on amazon warehouse deals at around £750 but as you can take 30% off at checkout it’s a substantial saving but I’d rather have the newer tech and the as new warranty.
I’m currently using a dell 60hz 24 inch monitor with an evga ftw3 ultra 3080 and it’s painful.
like mentioned above it would surely cannibalise sales of their overpriced oled and the existing 34 inch if they launched it now as well as devaluing it launching it straight into a sale but let’s see what the next few days brings
for anyone interested in buying, check if you can either get a dell student code on eBay for 99p or see if your employer does dell advantage. I work for a bank and the codes we get offer 20% off S and Alienware ranges so am hoping to make good use of that!

Get honey and you can apply codes on top that will take more off and get it for about 760 - no brainer to buy it new at that price vs amazon warehouse. if you have student discount, you can apply that and get 10% off on top of that to take down to 747 even cheaper than amazon warehouse

Well, the staff I have spoken to now seem to think that there is no way it will be the 27th. But I find the lack of information really frustrating. Surely someone has a clue? And yes, I am really stressed about the shortages at the moment. My PC shopping list is all out of stock. It's driving me slowly nuts. I might become an alcoholic instead.
Incidentally, most of the other Alienware monitors are now out of stock. Expected dates are start to mid December.
