Have you thought about using powerline adapters instead ? I find them more reliable than network cards.

I am pretty certain that they have to be plugged directly into a wall socket. The ones I have are made by Devolo and they don't work from an extension lead.

Using extension lead for pc as single socket on wall.

Worst comes to worst ill just get a network card / wireless usb. Will do a lilttle research. Thanks

Did you order the out of stock ram with the other stuff? OcUK will hold the entire order until it's in and other stuff may go out of stock in the mean time, thus pushing the delivery further back.

Yer i did :/ sounds like this could get messy and consist of me waiting a long time! I asked OCUK on friday when stock was due and they said any day now so fingers crossed!

The other option is to call them tomorrow and cancel the ram from the order and either order it again separately or choose another set?

Thanks for heads up on how the ship mate. Will call the tommorow and see what they say. Hopefully ram comes in stock on monday but we dont live in an ideal world i guess

Speaking of the RAM, will my motherboard support it? Spec sheet of MB seems to make out the RAM speed is too fast but i could be wrong.

Hi Guys,

As you know the team vulcan orange 2400 is currently out of stock and OCUK have now got back with a date for me (This Friday, but will be dispatched on Monday for Tuesday delivery most likely).

Is it worth waiting for them or shall I just proceed with ordering 1600? Will there be much of a difference? What I'm thinking is i can just overclock the 1600 versions?

I'm off Wednesday and was hoping to do the build then which is coming into play.

Always worth it.

The TEAM Xtreem ram may also be a good idea as the slots are rotated 180degress on these boards the red label side will be facing the CPU so all you would see is mostly the black heatsink.
