My Main issue isn't with sharpness, but with loss of micro contrast, thus creating a muddy image. You don't need to zoom 100% to see this.
Ohhh poop... I was about to grab a 7D too..
Is there even a cure for this ? be it software or in the menus or even taking pictures at RAW not JPEG ?
Uff maybe time to just get the 5D Mk2 but one of the reasons I wanted the 7D is the new AF and metering.

7d ff has already come out and it's called the 5d3.
I'd buy that one if I could afford it![]()
Its 2k so start saving up
A new Mark II is around £1,400 which is better value than the £2,400 Mark III
No it's not. The old age af, 1 stop less iso performance and inferior video features compared to the mk3.
The mk3 is a mk2 and 1dx rolled into one
Very true which is why I'd buy it if I had unlimited cash.
try and save up. the longer u save the cheaper the mk3 becoomes.
end of the year i reckon the 5d3 will be 2.5k rband new from jessops and around 1.8k in DigitelRev
I'm hoping you are aware the 7D is about to be upgraded? The rumour is the forthcoming 70D will take on the mantle of the top crop sensor camera from Canon with a high burst rate (this is what the current 7D is good at) and the 7D upgrade is rumoured to be a full frame camera. I'd hold off on buying a 7D at the moment unless you can get a cheap one second hand.
Mark II is currently £1369.99p digital rev body only Mark III is £2219.99p body only.
