new car e39

But those two situations aren't even remotely similar? One is blatantly stealing and other is taking advantage of a situation

I'm sorry but telling lies in adverts is not 'taking advantage of a situation'. He sold a Skoda Octavia as 'mint condition, doesnt use a drop of oil' because it was.... burning oil and smoking under acceleration!

Buying a car 'cheap' becuase it has issues and then selling it on with the same issues but specifically claiming it has none of the issues isn't business, its... well... you know what it is.

Its just a complete mirror of the Octavia situation. He buys a really cheap Octavia vRS, everyone says there is clearly something wrong with it, he swears blind its 'totally mint' then 2 months later he's flogged it some poor guy on ebay after admitting to us it had major engine trouble!

Not many things on the internet really annoy me but DannyW does.

3 months time...

'Hi there I'm ringing about the car you have for sale?'

'ALRIGHT MATE YEA ITS WELL MINT INNIT IVE HAD IT.. ERRR. YEARS!!!'

'Excellent, what model is it?'

'Dunno, 5 Series mate?'

:D

Quite worrying he hasn’t a clue what he has bought???? Something tells me he is missing a cells in the good old brain department, how can you not know what the model number is? ‘Oh because its dark’ :D Comedy stuff right there.

rofl!!!

Why do chavs/idiots always refer to objects/things as "her"?

It's the correct syntax for some languages ala grammatical gender. Not really applicable for ppl who speak English as a first language though.

Danny, please keep us posted on this car. Perhaps you can do an Evo style 'long term running costs' style thread? :)

Genuinely amazed at the amount of animosity thrown up whenever the op posts.

Why does anyone care?

So he's bought a potential money pit without checking what he was getting himself into - its his money, leave him to find out the pitfalls. Any normal person would learn by their mistakes.

The only point I object to is him misleading potential buyers with dodgy adverts.

DannyW - I haven't seen you add anything positive to these forums, wouldn't you be better served by showing off your £1000 bimmer down the pub or the school playground?

DannyW doesnt - every time he buys a car we get the same thing.

'Its well mint'

2 months later...

'Yea it blew up LOLOLOLOL'

This is a pretty huge point and its why nobody here will give him the time of day. He fancies himself as some sort of amazing wheeler dealer when in reality he is the epitome of whats wrong with used car sales.

Hi gave it a service today, 1st time seeing the car in day light

Everything is perfect on this car, you would have to see it to beleive it.

The radiator looks new, viscous fan is in perfect working order. The brakes/tyres are excellent all round and just had new hand brake shoes. All the pixels on the dash/radio/climate are all perfect. ABS/ASR perfect. No knocks or rattles. Body work perfect all panels line up, no rust no big stratches or dents.

Like i said it has a massive folder full of receipts since it was new, so it has been well looked after, and has full BMW service history with every receipt, last service been at 108,000 miles. There is also no wear and tear anywhere on the interior could say 60,000 miles and it would be believable.

So what are you going to wind the clock back to? ;)

As much as it pains me to say it if the car genuinely is as described its probably worth closer to £2k to the right buyer.

Thing is DannyW does this every time - every car he buys seems to be totally perfect. Until it explodes a matter of months later. Remember the Skoda?

The pixels are perfect because it's a low OBC fitted car without MID and these dont suffer from the pixel problem.

The skoda was just wear and tear it wanted a new turbo thats all, the skoda was a good car but i didnt want to keep it forever so just got rid

Fox if you saw the condition of my 523i i'm sure you would be in shock

Mind you if you've just ruined the service history on an otherwise perfect history car by doing it yourself then I doubt it'll appeal to the sort of person who'd pay top dollar for a 12 year old E39 anyway.

There is a limited market for this sort of car in this sort of condition at decent money but not after being home serviced by you.
