New computer build.

U2311H on sale for £199 - got mine less than a month ago saw the same deal only last week.

VP2365WB - Cheap (£200-£220 region)- IPS panel same as the dell technically but without the program (forgotten its name) that reduces lag...but still my cousin has this monitor and he plays the same games as me without issue.

Asus now do a few IPS monitors to, even cheaper, some around £180...but they are ugly! :P
 
Indeed looks like a bargain...differences are minor other than connectivity....can get dual for £300! bargain....but no display port so if you try to do eyefinity setup your third monitor will have to be different, e.g the U2311H ...but thats a worry for another day! :P
 
.... hard to say ...if it were me I'd go for the U2311H...but then again I already did so I'm biased! :P What I will say is that looking at the specs they are very nearly the same monitor with only a few differences (i.e. LED) but as to ghosting I tend to find that in reviews they over sell this fault.....I have never noticed ghosting on mine...and yes maybe if I got really close and stared looking hard for it when moving fast in game I'd see it...but I don't notice it normally so why worry!? There is a chance, but I cant be certain as I've never used the LG, that is all they are on about! Look up the vp2365wb and see how many reviews mention ghosting on that and how much better the U2311H is....as I said my cousin has it and I notice no difference from my monitor...
 
I would go for the dell I think if I could find for £400, however it's gone way over my budget which had already gone up to £300 lol!

What would you guys recommend, I think these are the choices and bearing in mind these are for gaming:

Look this is difficult because of the rules of this forum but I would personally keep an eye out for the U2311H, it is very good and can be had cheap!

But that LG seems like a bargain and to be honest I dont see why you wouldnt go for it!?
 
I am mostly concerned of the LED which can make monitors worse. The U2311H doesnt use LED which I think is a better thing in a monitor for now. Just cant decide between them, I would get 2 of the U2311H monitors but I need to be certain they will be good for gaming considering the high price tag!

True true...it is fine for gaming though absolutely no issues, you need only check all the forum threads about it...someone asks for recommendations for a monitor you can guaranttee the U2311H will be in there.....its just a brilliant all rounder and looks good as well! :D But as I said...im biased! :P

Trust what people tell you, people who themselves use it. I came from a good tn panel and the difference was amazing....colours, detail....everything. And as i've said gaming not an issue. My one cousin is on the viewsonice vp2365wb and the other cousin (got a few) is on the nec equivalent (cant be bothered to look up its name) - that nec one is £250+ and yet as far as ghosting is concerned the U2311H is way better due to this thing that helps it (again sorry ive forgotten its name)...........HA found the review:

But all of this is besides the point unless you are looking for it you wont see any ghosting.....
 
Right thanks a lot still trying to decide whether the U2311H will be better for gaming as oppose to something like the ST2220L or the W2361V-PF. There's so many monitors on the market!
 
Whichever works best. Can't help you but tell you to have a look for yourself in the nearest purple shop. They have some cheap monitors in there so you can see what you'd be getting. Dell probably better for desktop and long hours, then a TN with its technicolor whizbang for games and movies (or your TV for that matter).
 
Many thanks for the response. I have been researching a bit more on the internet and am thinking that I might give the U2311H a miss for now. Just because I want dual identical monitors and for the price I think I can get a TN model that performs just as well if not better in games.
