New Dell IPS S2721DGF 165hz gaming monitor

The Dell site now shows "Ships in 47–49 business days" for the S2721DGFA if ordering. Looks like we are in for a long wait if we decide not to cancel.

I rang customer care and complained about the delay a few days and they opened a case. I got an email yesterday evening which says the factory is short of parts and unable to provide an ETA but will build and ship when they arrive. They gave me a 10% discount due to my complaint so all in the monitor will cost me £262. I can wait for that since I'm in no rush and can't get hold of a new 6800XT or 3080 anyway due to stock shortages.

Yeah for £262 it's a no brainer.

I paid £312. So even if they offered the same discount it's still not dirt cheap like yours.
 
So after all discounts/refunds I ended up paying £240ish for this.

I have to it's a great bit of kit for what I need it for and don't require (want?) 4k yet.

On reflection I probably would go through the same order process again to get something for such a good price.
 
I cancelled mine this morning, Dell can go f themselves. Time is more important to me than a few quid discount.

I have an 1080P IPS 60Hz at the moment so probably won't see a massive difference image quality wise hence why I can wait. Obviously if a monitor is needed urgently then it's best not to get into this Dell fiasco. I also prefer the Dell 165Hz and Freesync Pro over the LG's 144Hz hence why I'm waiting.
 
Well, i've got a replacement panel being sorted as one of the two A variants has a stuck bright pixel. No idea if/when that'll arrive, and seeing as so many people managed to get a cracking discount, I've pushed for a credit note of the difference between what I paid and what's been offered, that's in the works currently.

Mine hasn't been delayed again or updated today but my revised ship date is also today so expecting it to update at some point, if it ever does!

Happy to wait until January if that's how long it's going to take but won't be happy if it's delayed again in January.
 
Delivery due today but of course I got the end of January garbage too.

I nearly purchased the LG from you know where but I may hold fire and see whats on offer on Black Friday
 
I cancelled. If you don't need a new monitor until the new year and you can convince Dell to give you another 10% off (getting the price closer to £250) then it's a fantastic deal.
 
my order also delayed until end of jan. i have just fired off an email of complaint. dell must have known about these delays when they took an order and my cash.
had the distinct impression on chat that they were encouraging me to cancel the order... if i'm not getting more discounts, i will be.
