*** New Design 2012 iMac 21.5" & 27" ***

Getting a bit concerned about my iMac 27" order. Ordered it on the 4th February, and it's still showing as "Processing" with an anticipated delivery date of 11th - 22nd March. I would've presumed it would at least be being prepared for shipping by now.

The only thing I can think of that could be an issue is that when I first placed the order I got a phone call from Barclaycard Fraud department immediately because the size of the transaction was "unusual activity". I have no idea whether this meant it was authorised or not, but the money hasn't been taken from my card as far as I can tell, or if it did it was refunded shortly after? Is this normal?

:(

It only goes into prepare for shipping for about 48 hours.
When its shipped, it takes like 2 days to get here, even if it stops in Germany.

If you have a delivery window of 11th - 22nd. Lets assume you get it on the 11th, then I wouldn't expect a "Preparing for shipment" status for another week.

Thanks. The last one I ordered, in January for a graphics designer, shipped on the 1st Feb and took at least a week to arrive (they come from China?).

I guess I was hoping mine would be closer to the 4 weeks than the 6.

:(

Still no change, and no charge on my credit card. I keep reading about people on other Mac forums ordering later than me and having already received theirs. :(

Just ordered mine:
27"
3.4GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
8GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM-2X4GB
1TB Fusion Drive
NVIDIAGeFrc GTX 680MX 2G GDDR5

just have to wait the 4-6 weeks for delivery :(
Your spec is identical to mine except I added a Magic Trackpad, and 3TB Fusion drive instead of 1TB.

Mine is still showing as "Processing Items" :(

Did you order the track-pad as well as the magic mouse because I ordered the track-pad instead of the magic mouse.

Must be your 3TB Fusion drive that's holding yours up :(
I ordered the trackpad and magic mouse. I ordered mine on the 4th Feb though, so that's one hell of a holdup.

Dispatched: 4 - 6 weeks
Delivery: 11 Mar, 2013 - 22 Mar, 2013

Configuration

3.4GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
8GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM-2X4GB
3TB Fusion Drive
NVIDIAGeFrc GTX 680MX 2G GDDR5

MAGIC MOUSE+MAGIC TRACKPAD-Z
Apple WL Kybd+User's Guide-B
COUNTRY KIT-B
edit: I have a Apple sized charge on my credit card now though, so I guess that's a good sign?

My dad just ordered a 27" iMac with 3.4GHz i7, 1Tb Fusion, 680MX 2Gb and 8Gb.

He is coming from a cobbled together PC with Q6600, 4Gb and 4870 512Mb. He has never had a mac before but he loves Xplane and doing logo designs etc.

Raymond: Which brand of 32Gb did you go for? Have you had any issues?

Looking to buy an iMac. Usage will be internet, iLife, Blizzard games, iTunes.

This is the spec I'm considering.

21.5"
2.9GHz Quad-core Intel Core i5, Turbo Boost up to 3.6GHz
8GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x4GB
1TB Serial ATA Drive @ 5400 rpm
NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 512MB GDDR5

Not sure I will see any real benefit of i7 or fusion for my usage.

Both size iMacs are now being offered with VESA brackets at the back, if you didn't see it already. It's kind of annoying though since you can only have stand OR mount and they don't appear to be swappable. It's also $40 extra for this.
