New essential Android apps thread

well for it to be in line with android os development. a aging app when marshmallow is being rolled might cause for compatibilty issues especially when future releases roll out

It works fine on marshmallow, so you've got a year of easy photo viewing!

Cerberus is more powerful. It doesn't even register as consuming any battery, so power use is a non issue.

I didn't realise they'd redefined the lifetime license into 3 years - That's a shame. But as it stands, it's still the best app of its kind if you want full control. Samsung Dive/Android Device Admin are well featured, but they don't have the scope of Cerberus.

My understanding is I think they owned up that it was a mistake to think they could do this. For them to continue they would need to change it. Fair enough.

Just noticed the direction ES File Explorer is going in, what happened? It was my favourite since my first Android phone until Solid Explorer 2 was avaliable in beta, but I still suggested it to friends as it was free. Paid version I can understand but all the uneeded features seems to be turning the app into something else.

No sure is anyone using it but cm launcher is a great launcher. Stopped using nova prime for it well happy with it
CM stuff is generally full of bloat and associated with privacy concerns isn't it? Unless they've changed. I can't fault Nova :)
