New essential Android apps thread

It's the same addon for the desktop version, nearly all addons for desktop Firefox works for mobile Firefox.

Dolphin has a Stylish addon too: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.pmmlabs.stylish

Been using that for the black theme and works pretty well.

For the text I've set the Firefox text to tiny to make it look uniform for the forum.

the dolphin addon is carp imo, loads of sites it doesn't alter properly.

Yup, it is ok on FF beta. I just prefer using Chrome as it has always felt snappier than FF on Android.

i'll give it a whirl then.

yeah, i agree ff does feel a bit sluggish at times and is a total memory hog, but at least it can be themed in a variety of ways and has far more support for addons.

I downloaded it but got a message saying I needed an invite when I tried to sign in so yes it seems to be still invite only.

Can anyone recommend a decent lightweight keyboard?

The recent update to Google's stock keyboard has made it near enough unusable due to the bugs (random words being deleted whilst typing is the most annoying bug) hence on the lookout for something else.
I know there is Go (using it now), SwiftKey and TouchPal but they're all a bit on the 'hefty' side in terms of app size and memory usage compared to Google's stock keyboard.

I've requested an invite from them. Will try and hook people up if I get any once I'm in

Recieved my invite tonight - had a quick play and it does seem rather damn nice. Will have to see what its like with new messages over the coming days but first impressions are it will be used a lot!

To those who have trusted me asking for an invite I dont seem to have the option - dont think this is the same as gmail where you could invite people yourself unfortunately.

*edit* ok looks I will get invitations to share - just dont have them yet. Will share the love when I do!

1 Open Inbox.
2 In the bottom right, go to the Create button .
3 Choose Invite to Inbox

Not sure if that works still, was a post on Google's+ page?

Odd - I have the option to email my last 3 contacts, add a reminder or create new email. No mention of invites. Will keep eyes peeled.
The new email recieved this morning does seem to have been bundled correctly but still sort of feel the need to check in gmail to make sure inbox hasn't "lost" anything... Liking it though

Interesting.. Wonder how many invites you get but if you get a few please drop me a trust :)

There's a new SwiftKey beta out as well as new Material dark and light themes in the store. The theme costs 69p though I used the funds from the Google Rewards program so it essentially cost me a few screen taps :p
