New essential Android apps thread

Is there a better way of collating a list of people in need of an invite, rather than everyone posting? (I of course, would like an invite if someone has one spare :) )

Another is QKSMS, its in Alpha but works great.

I use textra though as it works more consistently but I will probably move to QKSMS once its finished.

to try it out you need to join the G+ page

I've used QKSMS since he launched the first version on XDA, without a doubt probably the one of the best SMS apps around, the developer is sound and actually listens to the posts on his Google community, he's added two features I've requested alone. It's defo worth a shot if you've not already tried it folks

Wow, thanks guys, just got it, it's beautiful.

I'd like an Inbox invite if anyone has one, email in trust :)

I've also just found a new gallery app which looks pretty good, Piktures

Not sure I'm a fan of Inbox. Only feature I like is 'snoozing' an e-mail. Apart from that, I feel it generally slows me down. I don't like 'Done', I prefer 'Delete' or 'Archive'. Am I alone here?

Notifications seem overly complicated too, like I have to set them for all different categories, not just the mail account in one go?

Not sure where else to post this, but Google are giving away a copy of Gravity to Nexus 5 users.

If you're rooted, change your ro.product.device to hammerhead, reboot, clear data/cache on Google Movies and you should get a copy :p

Just worked on my M8.

Was wondering why I wasn't seeing it on my N10 and M7, thanks, did the change and got the film :p.

So far I got Ice Age, Shaun the Sheep, Big and Gravity all free from Google. Keep them coming ;).

EDIT: You edit the line in build.prop in the system folder for those who are wondering.

Google just released their answer to Apple's Healthkit - Google Fit. It's on the Play store now. Just downloaded it. Seems pretty spartan without Android Wear though.
