The old layout was perfect. So annoyed with my favourite app being completely ruined. Every review on the play store says exactly the same thing! What were they thinking. Do not update to the latest version!!!!

Well with you guys hating it so much, I had to install it. I never really like the BBC News app, it always looked like an app from the 90's, but I like the update. Looks much better and gives me more options to news I would be interested in.
 
I think there are some improvements to be made to how you navigate the new app, but the old one was certainly not perfect. The UI was very outdated and the news categories available were very limited so it was difficult to see anything more specific/local or to find older stories that had 'dropped off'.

It was in desperate need of an update, they just need to fiddle with the new design a bit more to make it a bit more intuitive.

Working fine for me, try clearing the cache. If that doesn't work, reinstall it :)

Rubbish.. not every review says the same at all. The new app takes a bit of time to set up right but once its done its FAR better than the old one.
The new widget on the other hand is awful.
 
Current Widget

Great for testing effectiveness of USB cables, I thought one of my cables was naff, plugged it into a good charger, it was outputting 460mA, put in the cable my wife was using - 1900mA. Done this with a few, much faster charging in my house now!

I sorted by newest reviews and they were all 1 star reviews slating the new design.... So you can keep your 'rubbish' remarks to yourself thanks.

Depends on when you look at it. I've just sorted by newest and there are:

4x1*
3x2*
2x3*
1x5*

So it can also be mixed :p

OT: I like the new app. Fits in nicely with the new material design & scrolling.
 
Looking for a decent camera app to replace the stock Google app that comes with the Nexus 6. Looking for something that'll allow me to edit and send pics easily. Don't mind paying.

Definitely luck is a factor. Sometimes have to play a level 7 or 8 times until things finally fall into place. There is definitely a 'knack' to spotting how you can make a square of 4 or even better, circle in another dot.
 
I have broken Today calendar widget :(

It says "No upcoming events" now, I have removed and added it back but still the same... The app itself is fine, shows all events and adding a widget from stock or Google Cal shows events so it's an issue in Today only :(
 
BBC news widget is not useful to me anymore since they changed the format, it's easier just to go to the website via a browser. That's just my personal opinion.
