New FTB Modded Minecraft server Beyond

So I presume I don't need any other mods, just texture mods as this FTB is pretty much a complete mod package?

Pretty much yeah, there’s thousands of other mods out there but FTB is complete package.

I’m no expert on mods but I don’t think you can add more mods to this MC. You would need to create another MC save if you want to experiment with other mods.

You can add client side only mods to the pack, I have optifine and run shaders through that. Optifine used to be a bit of a dog causing weirdness but this version seems to work well and actually improves performance. I'm now getting 80FPS on the system in my sig

@haaammit getting some heavy lag spikes all of a sudden, I was about to craft with RS an implosion compressor, not sure if related.

Glad you're all up and running! As Greboth and 5punk say this is a complete mod-pack (FTB Beyond) whereby all the mods installed play nicely together (mostly lol), but you can still add client side mods like Optifine, Shaders, texture packs all that good stuff!

If you were to add, say Mekanism to your Beyond mod folder you would then be unable to join the server, as that particular mod isn't supported server-side. I will at some point do a more in-depth write-up but it's been a loooooooong 3 days!

I've temporarily fixed the server after 5punk broke it, by which I mean I restarted it

Where were you trying to make the implosion compressor? ON an RS grid or a crafter?

Edit: OK, so an Implosion Compressor (TechReborn) needs 2 Advanced Machine Blocks. There are two ways to make these:
2 Carbon Plates (IC2)
2 Advanced Alloys (IC2)
And either
1 Machine Block (TechReborn)
OR
1 Advanced Machine Casing (IC2)

There is no 9x9 recipe for a Machine Block (TechReborn) maybe that's the issue - trying to get RS to craft something where there's no actual recipe?

Just a heads up if you're using EnderStorage I assumed that these worked the same as vanilla EnderChests in that they are player unique. It transpires that this is not the case. Make sure to set your chosen colour code on the top of the chest, especially if you're using them as a 'cheap' tesseract. The chests are NOT player unique/specific, as I found out today lol!

I was using all white (I think) as a 'cheap' dimensional transceiver / tesseract so, as Haaammit found out if you put any items in your ender chest / bag it probably ended up in my storage system so thanks

I've switched out to only dimensional transceivers for my farms but might colour code a chest so I can use the bag to dump items on the move.

Almost half way there

So what is the next aim after 10k? 100k?

Pop a diamond on the wheel on the front

my entire autografting and mining system run on these. Also pop a diamond on the ender tank too

Also I got round the implosion compressor and built one, I recognised the machine after I built it as a gregtech machine, it seems tech reborn is just gregtech evolved, a snipet of useless info there, it brought back memories for me ha ha.

Haaammit suggested that and I did try though I think I clicked the chest rather than specifically clicking the wheel on the front. Do you know if the diamonds also lock the ender bag/satchel too?

As 5punk says click the "clasp" on the front of the Ender Chest with a diamond to lock it to you. You will then need to lock any others that are in your system. You will also have to shift-right-click your pouch on the chest to lock the pouch to the new, private Ender Chest

I was getting confused last night that I could still open your locked chest - it dawned on me this morning that I hadn't de-opped myself for testing. D'oh!!

Gonna be a while to hit 10k xp levels ^_^

I'll jump on later to lock my chests, until now I've been using green|green|green to avoid clashing.

5punk, to add to the 'useless' info, I've found that the implosion compressor seems to work without completing the multi block structure. At least for iridium plates you need for ultimate hybrid solars anyway.

Oh right I just built the lot, the multiblock structure took no time at all to autocraft.

Speaking of autocrafting, this is my first time using RS and having used logistics pipes and ae2 previously I find RS a bit basic and just feel it's incomplete. If only logistic pipes (My favourite) were in the pack.

Hope you're finding your way around the server @Etheco!

So, I was aiming for 10,000 xp levels......and this is what happened today!!

That, as far as I can work out, equates to 501,171,347 xp orbs. 501 Million. Yup - over half a billion xp orbs!

Be careful if you want, for whatever reason, to emulate this - taking anything over 1k levels out of an XP Obelisk kills the server - you'd have to do it 10 levels at a time.

I've had 12 Mechanical Users from ExtraUtils2 fully speed upgraded to help with the transformation of xp shards to xp orbs! Let it rain........

On my way to 10k levels I've amassed 3.2 Million Draconium dust, 841k bottles of dragon's breath, 105k dragon eggs and 105k dragon hearts. Not too shabby for a few weeks lol

I've also been looking at OP RF power stuff - if you make all 16 ExtraUtils2 power generators and run them all at the same time, and you make a Rainbow Generator - coupled with 5 Draconic Evolution I/O crystals you can rock 25 million RF/Tick

@haaammit I've had another issue with a recipe in RS the advanced solar cell has caused the same issue (server lag) as the implosion compressor, I'm also really considering ripping my RS system out and going with AE2.

Not sure what's happening with it tbh. Are you just crafting an advanced solar cell in a crafting grid or are you making a recipe so you can auto craft? I've had no issues with it so far, unless I'm say turning blocks of diamonds into diamonds stacks and stacks at a time - that causes system lag.
I've also noticed the server crashed about 30 minutes ago. I'm just restarting it and have the crash log, so I'll have a look to see if that sows any issues.

Edit: I've just been online and have crafted some advanced solar panels both via a wireless crafting grid, a normal crafting grid and I've added it as a recipe to a crafter with no issues so far, but making a stack per action does cause lag. Making a stack via a crafter causes no lag.
