New Gaming Rig Advice..

That is probably the xmp.

The 9 9 9 27 1600MHz at 1.65v has to be set manually as that's it's tested speed.

At least it's set via xmp now :)

It was a long shot - may yet pay off - but would be very fortunate if it did.

Off to bed now - hopefully we'll stumble across a solution before you stump up for a new rig.

What does the part number say under SPD. It may be correct and that link has the wrong info.

It is KHX1600C9D3/4GX

Really do the extra 8 gigs solves my problem. When I install my new RAM is it the simple case of taking the existing pair out and replacing them with my new pair? Do I need to do anything else?

I'm afraid I have no idea if the extra 8gb will solve your micro-stuttering.

But you install into the slots your existing memory is in then set the xmp as you did just now. Job done.

Right I really am off to bed now - all riddles solved :)

I'll have a think tomorrow but if you've tried all the nVidia control panel tricks I'm running low on ideas...

There are some BIOS settings we could change but again - long shots...

There we go.
Confused. You've got 1600Mhz RAM running at 1T?!? That should be 2T e.g.

Haven't changed anything in Nvidia control panel but like you said, it happened with an AMD graphics card as well but may be worth a go?
