It says Load Hive which I try but says system cannot find path specified.

Yes, Windows is picking the drive up fine, just not the programs.

42 gig left on it. The windows files are all there as far as I can see.

We could boot the drive from your brothers computer (better chance than the Ryzen) - and then use ProduKey/MJB (download a copies to a pendrive).
