New GT-R

This is what im getting at. I see the GTR as a everyday car myself for someone who has the money and then they have a proper fun weekend toy which is a proper drivers car.. i dunno what. maybe a silly power Caterham or something :p.. But still i dont see the GTR as a "weekend toy" which some people seem to think it is.

fun... in most of the reviews ive seen it has come across as a bit remote and de-sensitised, in the way you can extract so much pace so easily

Which must lend it well to being a daily too. A daily car that has that kind of performance and considering the price should ensure it's a commercial success. I guess we'll see.

yup, id expect so too.

as housemaster said tho, im the same in that outright pace and raw performance figures are not the be all and end all.

ive driven a few fast cars that were pretty much dull as ditchwater as they were way too sanitised for a so called performance car.

Agree. Ive driven a Jaguar XKR with its 4.2 litre Supercharged V8 and 420bhp.. It was quite fast.. But left me feeling numb... Then i drove a little baby caterham super light and came away with a grin i couldnt remove! speed isnt everything when you are wanting a car you enjoy. There are sooo many other things that come into it :)

Id just like to point out i love the GTR.. lol. But i think a lot of people are getting what its about alittle wrong :). All the Skyline GTR's have pretty much been the same idea.

my grand plan, car wise, is to build a caterfield with honda engine.

now that is just plain raw fun. no leather interior, no "class", no gay esp etc just you, the car and the road

Aren't GT cars like the XKR meant to leave you numb aka relaxed.

Hi there

I have an R34 GTR VspecII on my driveway next to the CSL. :D

Its actually got good road feel and very direct steering, lets just say I am having a long test drive of a friends of an R34 to see if I like or not and at the moment undecided as just driven it home tonight and weather conditions were terrible so were careful but it cruises well enough and feels tight with good feel. Bags of torque too as its not standard. :D

Try telling Mr Palmer that.

I go back in July.. Cant wait to get my hands on that new

Formula Jaguar :D

Id sell body parts to actually have the optiunity to build and own my own Caterham.

done it, great car, very quick. doesnt feel as fast as it is because it carries the speed so well. Loved the paddleshift too:)

you'll have a great day1

Super cars dont have class lol. A Rolls has class a Lambo dont. A 911 turbo dont have class either.. neither does a M3. Tommy you really need to look past the badge on the front mate. Its not being sold as something that's full of class lol. Its being sold as a Technical master peice that will get you where you want to be very quickly and in resonable comfort.

People with £60k must be willing to spend money on it as they are!! What else in the £60k budget can match its performace and road presence? Nothing i can think of.
