Ive been out all evening, so i missed all this, but from what ive seen on Apples site, im a little underwealmed.

I was expecting the Touch to be 100Gb+.

Considering just getting the classic in 160Gb. With the extra space, it'll be handy for me, and the battery at 40 hours, brillient.

Im still hoping for the iPhone over here to have MMS. Because if it does, i'll get that and pass on the iPods. Whens it out again?

Hmm ... £120 ish for the new 80gb or £200 for the 16gb touch

I don't really need the storage, only have 6gb of music and about 12gb of videos

Really tempted by the 16gb touch

Will probably wait until next year when they release a model with more space

I'm amazed at the battery on them now though, considering just two years ago, my old iPod mini had 8 hours, and now my current 5th gen ipod has only 18 hours

40 hours for the classics now :eek:

8GB and 16GB is very disappointing for the touch

I assume it is solid state memory though?

Still stewing over the announcement! Why did apple release 160gb ipod classic with such a small screen!? I would understand a 160gb video ipod - as after all you could fit a lot of music and videos on there - but 160gb is quite a whack to fill up with mp3's. I am very confused indeed with this new line up, it makes no sense and they really have dropped the ball with this announcement.

Guys, what is the best mp3 player on then market around 80gb - bar the apple? Anything decent out there? For the first time since 2003 I am looking for a non apple mp3 player.
