They obviously haven't been updated to the new Firmware 1.0.1 though, so I would suggest waiting if you intend on viewing one again.Hmm, went in the apple shop today and saw them for the first time, not impressed really. Both the classic and nano were quite laggy when flicking through albums (even in the non-cover flow way). And the nano isn't as small as I thought it was, much prefer my current 8gb 2nd gen!
Thats saved me a £100+ anyway![]()
INQ said:Yesterday, we reported how Jobs' Mob was so spooked by the concept of people not using its bloated, proprietary, Itunes software, that they fixed the Ipod so that it could not run Open Sauce equivalents.
However Apple's bid to tell the sort of technology boffins who like running such software what to do lasted the 30 minutes it took one of them to write a bit of code to get around it.
According to the Ipodsminusitunes bog hackers wtbw, nopcode, teuf, simon and many others from #gtkpod have worked out a way around Apple's futile attempt at a lock out.
US

10:04 - Here we go... Steve stands up, welcomes everyone. And he dives right in: the iPhone has been announced for the UK! "We picked the best one, the most poplular carrier, it's O2. We've since lowered the price of the US phone of the 8GB phone, in the UK the price of the iPhone is £269 including VAT."
Gief cookiez.
There's a rather technical article on the sound quality here if anyone can understand it
http://homepage.mac.com/marc.heijligers/audio/ipod/comparison/measurements/measurements.html
Looks at 2 sound degrees* (masters and bsc(hons)![]()
I can.Yes, and you can hear above 20KHz can't you
I can.![]()
The human ear goes above 20KHz (I know) but the older you get the more the range decreases. I seriously doubt that will even factor like the reviewer is making out.
It's like saying "oh but the car will drive like crap at 100mph" when the limit is 70.
...I chose to engrave, was listen to MC Hammer when I thought of engraving it... 8)
Go on then, what does the engraving say?
