Just get the Firmware updateI'm sending my Classic back ... don't like the SQ ... or the bugs ...
as long as in a good condition you can send back within 14 days ... but if software if you've opened it you can't return (understandable)
re return - they don't charge you a restocking fee..its their courier fee ... 20 pounds if item was under 200 ..60 pounds if over 200
seems fair enough to me
Mark.
in my case, replace sell with buycertainly not enough to make me sell it.
By the looks of it it's the week 37 ones that are most likely defective. If you can get week 38 or later you 'should' be ok.
Apparently the new Apple store in Solihull had Touches yesterday, but they were mostly week 37's. I was going to go this morning, but apparently they're sold out already![]()
Don't be so quick to write off the Classic.Saw all the new'ens yesterday in the Apple Store in Manchester.
The Nano's look nice, and coverflow isnt as bad as i expected.
The Classics, for some reason, their coverflow was noticably slow to open, and to load the covers. Dont like the matt finish they have either.
And the Touch, i only got to see one, as they only had 3 in, one a sales rep was trying to sell to someone, and the other two were being hogged by these two lads who stood there for an hour and a half playing with the browser!.
How did i know they were an hour and a half? Because i gave up waiting after 20mins and came back an hour and ten later!.
If you rely on the iPod for your sole consumption of high quality music then you're fighting a loosing battle from the start.in my case, replace sell with buy.
I havnt wrote it off, because i dont plan on buying one.Don't be so quick to write off the Classic.
