Great goals by Gerrard, especially the second one. I've been really impressed by Gibbs, since coming on he's looked way more energetic and determined than Cole. A bit of youth is just what the England team needed. Solid game by Joe Hart too, he's got to be the permanent first choice.

Where are the posters who declared Zamora to be awful? And it was a shock he was even considered? I am aware it is just one game but it certainly gives everyone a glimpse of how good he can be.

Maybe dropping Rooney from the starting XI will give him the kick in backside needed to get him playing well internationally.

FT 2-1 Boring as usual, nothing looks that much better apart from the addition of some youth, Zamora looks good too.

Johnson and Gibbs were the two stand out youngsters for me. Hart didn't have much to do but so it's hard to rate him but I wasn't that impressed with Walcott or Young.

Zamora was excellent when he came on and really showed how much of a buffoon Heskey is in comparison.

They were a hell of a lot better, players actually looked confident on the ball.

Yep he should be given a fair crack at the first team along with Darren Bent.
