Sorry for late reply yes the pump goes lower than yours for some reason i put the rpm on the aio thread mate not on pc at mo but it was 1214rpm its definatly sounds quieter tban yours but dont know if yours is amplified mate glad you got it sorted thoughWell I have some interesting news...
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/nv-uefi-update-x64/
I've never heard of it but I posted something on the msi forums and someone mentioned this (luckily).
It's a display port firmware updater, and this fixed my issue with my dp And... My hdmi. I just booted up in dp and hdmi in bios and windows.
For some reason in my mind I thought if I had access to a new gpu I wasn't going to have issues booting...
I assume the firmware updates your gpu?
Oh I was going to say monitors 2 and 3 the difference is - both 4k but the Philips # 3 has hdr and I don't know it looks prettier
So get this, this same gpu runs the same monitor on an old 2700k no problem before this update, dp or hdmi meaning I could play cyberpunk if I wanted 970gtx frame rates.
I was really close to tearing my system up and taking the mb out too.
I don't know if that fixed issues with the dvi cable monitor... Geez... I should have kept my 5700xt gpu and I would have saved myself 30+ hours of 'guess what the problem is'.
Now... I can focus on the aio noise or the static noise, I tried prime for a little bit and the pump is hard to hear over.
I may grab that phanteks aio and with that I think I can turn the pump way down (right Alex?) to determine the mb VRM noise then and if I can accept the capellix constant hum. I sit here right now in windows and its bothering me. 0 fans spinning and it's a hmmmmmmm sound.

You can use 3DMark and use the Night something version, however it is a paid for app so it depends if you have it. Mine would get louder even by goong to a basic game such as Rocket League. I didnt want to spend a long time downloading a heavy game since I had installed Windows from 0 to make sure it had nothing to do with software.
PS: I'll check if I can somehow share the audio file later today so you can see how mine sounded.
Yeh just double checked that is correct mateI just read your comment in the aio phanteks thread. Your aio is running at 1200... Mine lowest is 2288~. Ya the house is quite and I can make out the static from the vrms. If it didn't increase in intensity I might be able to live with it.

Ive never reinstalled windows after updating bios just reset my settings in bios
Get the latest chipset drivers from amd site then gpu drivers and you should be good to go mate do your widows update after i download chipset driver I un plug ethernet cable whilst installing them then put ethernet back in then sound drives and anything else you need for your boardHey Alex,
Looking to install the needed drivers etc...
Would you know if I should install the amd chipset drivers and all parts? Seems to be quite a few.
Going to install the other mb drivers but may leave the realtek ethernet atm... Seems to be issues from the forums.

I dont install raid drivers as dont need them personally only install what you need
No probs mate hopefully it will be ok now and you can enjoy just remember the phantek aio fans are loud so will need to be turned down in the bios when you get it but the pump is fine also make sure when you fit it the tubes point to front of case when fitting the block i fitted fans to rad first then fitted rad to case pump was fitted last then pump cover ive just ordered some bequiet fans to see how they compare hopefully will be quieterThanks Alex, been a bit since I did a new install...
Hows it going mateThanks Alex, been a bit since I did a new install...
Hows it going mate
That does look really good mateHey Alex,
Will have some time tomorrow to work on it. Probably won't get the phanteks aio till the end of the week. Going to leave my case apart till I can fully evaluate each aio.
Didn't do much today with the build.
What I want to do eventually is get my hands on a 3000nividia gpu and then get my old system running along with my new one and slowly get my programs that I have accumulated over the past 10 years.
Got both Nvme drives in now stuck the sn850 (c drive and game drive) in the top slot and sn750 in bottom (this will be my work storage).
I want to get a rgb set up - aio, 3 front fans 3 top and 1 rear... Eventually. Using a phanteks cooler will make it more challenging but if its much quieter that's better.
Not my build but I'd like something like this:
Hi team - I asked about the coil whine on another forum and I was told that tightening the four screws on the back of the board that hold the heatsink and VRM in place really helps because apparently they are loosened slightly in transit. Could just be an old wives tail but thought I’d pass on the FYI. I’ll try this later today but won’t be finished building so no results for a while.
Importantly, it was inferred that once the screws were tightened, whilst the whine was higher than the average board, it was no big deal.
Does anyone know what would be the way to share an audio file on here?
See here mate:Thanks for that. I'm wondering what screws they are talking about. I couldn't trouble you for a pic of the back of the board there?
