Some great stuff from the Rezzed presentation today - radios look awesome :D

Best thing about them are the fact that things keep their state when on the ground, so radios continue to blare out music, I'd imagine you can keep torches left on and other stuff. Interesting dynamics. And the crafting - home made explosives! Nice.

Had a lot of fun tonight with a new clan, shooting at helicopters and planes flying past scaring them off :D

Shot someone at nearly 800m while he was trying to run for the helicopter :)
 
Okay so I'm fairly new at the game and the other night I joined a breaking point server. Aggro'd a zombie, it was turning dark and I couldn't seem to lose him so I found an oil rig type barrel with a ladder leading to the top, I climbed to the top.

About 10 seconds later I hear the tapping of the ladder like someone is climbing it. Got my tazer ready and was trying to look down the ladder in 3rd person. The person climbing was the zombie that I had been trying to lose for a few minutes already. I climbed down the second ladder leading down and drop down the stairs leading to the next level in this little compound, I'm looking around in the area for a minute or so, this zombie is climbing up the third ladder to my location and I swear this thing is looking straight into my eyes the whole time he's climbing.

Something about this situation just really made me **** myself. I didn't even realise they could climb ladders to be honest. But this zombie was determined to get me.

Hahahahahahahaha!

I remember when i first played, something similair happened to me, it was dark, and i was in a town outside elektro, can't remember its name, anyway, it was dark and i was creeping round a building and as go to leave i hear a zombie screech (my volume was super high for some reason) and it's stood there in front of me, and i actually jumped like never before, and just ran to the woods.
 
I bought the Steam offer a few days ago, just to play Day Z, a few days in and I am loving it, wish I had started much earlier, what a game! :)

Really want to get some team action happening though, most places I go I get shot by other survivors, seems like it would be great fun teaming up and exploring the place.

Any recommendations for servers that are particularly good for co-op?
 
just check in here few run by members off here

i play on dead man walking server only now which is a few posts up. noob friendly no bs admins that will help you out at drop of hat.

i spent most of last night ramping over people on my quad and motorcycle till someone shot me on sniper hill :D

quite a lot of us off here will be on at 5pm onwards .

Great, that's what I like to hear, I'll be clocking on tonight after work and trying to join you guys. Still getting to grips with the crazy inventory system.
 
Come and have a blast on the CPC Epoch server. Vehicles are easy to find and the admins are top notch and always available.

I play with a group most nights and you are welcome to tag along so we can show you the ropes. We are friendly most of the time but have our moments ;)

Private or public hive?
 
Dodgy goings on with DE 1000 today, I was one hit killed at the range of a DMR from top of a hill while i was in the town. It was an M16 with acog and not a sniper rifle, as it shows up in the kills. 2mins later, another guy dies at the same range. Then I kill two survivors and the same survivor who I just killed, shows up right next to me and kills me. They both showed up as KILLED BY and it was open in the beach.

It's usually a damn good server
