no that a bit off a waste as i bought some 1866 ram for mine but running at 200blck x 20 (or 21 with the turbo feature) you will get 4ghz (or 4.2ghz the turbo feature) which makes my ram run at 1600mhz to be honest the only really reason to get that ram if if you gettin a good chip which you know is going to go higher than 4.2ghz and if your going to do that you might want a better mobo somint like the Rampage III as that is a getting constaint high blck and you will defo need to water cool with heat it will produce and i dont mean the h-50 or the eco as i have heaqrd they struggle wich clocks higher than 4.2
cut a long storry short why waste an extra £200-£300 on better mobo, cherry picked cpu, high spec ram, and good cooling when the ram at 1600mhz has more memory bandwidth then you use with it being tri-channel and a possible 4.5ghz clock when in the really world the only thing that extra 300mhz will change is your e-slong
oh and btw by the time you want to upgrade the 470'2 there will be much better tech out there insted off going for 480 sli as they are very power hungery in sli and iam betting the the 470 will be sort after card and hold its price well as many people will want to get these for sli in a year or two as they scale so well and are nowhere near as hot or as power hungery its like i've just picked up a 4870x2 for a little over £100 (which is 5870 perfromance on DX10) just because its a very hot and power hungry card it might just be something to think about
