** NEW SAMSUNG ODYSSEY G7/G9 MONITORS 27-49" AVAILABLE TO PRE-ORDER **

Contacting Samsung UK was the worst Customer Support i ever had they did not even know what a GPU was. So instead i went to the retailer i purchased from. Getting replacement. I also found out that Colour calibration results should be viewable inside the OSD. Sadly on this current monitor it has no such infomation. So it seems like my monitor should not of even been sold.

EDIT: Found the calibration report and its missing half the details like Gamma and Grayscale. Measurement mode = custom as well so unsure if thats meant to say something else.

Replacement arrived damaged and already used. I give up now. This is the 4th monitor and 2nd G7 which has had issues. Seems like either the very big place im ordering from or the places which makes these monitors don't care about people spending 600 or more. I'm seriously fed up and ****** off. And only if the monitor worked properly on colour settings and OSD was not bugged then i loved it for no blurryness/ghosting. If any of you people know a good 2560x1440p monitor with HDR 600 please say. Because at this point as i said earlier im ****** that 4 times in a row all monitors i got either have faults or massive ghosting (first 2 monitors.)

I've had the G7 32 inch since release I love how it handles games but scan lines mainly see them upper left of screen and when images have like orange or bright colours they are not obvious but just gives me OCD for something that cost premuim and at 120hz they go away

Yea however we paid for great quality and great framerate. Having to lower it to keep that is not what they are selling. So i'm returning and waiting for next gen monitors to come out.

Yeah, I would agree. The scanline issue shouldn't be there at all. I normally return monitors for the slightest fault, be it poor response times, glow issues, dead pixels, and so on. Thank god there finally is an issue that doesn't bother me so much cause there really is nothing like the G7 on the market and certainly not with a VA panel. This is the first VA panel that isn't trash and ridden with super poor dark transition times.

Morning Folks.

I got a G9 a while back and would love to get some feedback on what settings you are using/help in calibrating the display. I am fairly novice when it comes to this end of things and would appreciate any help.

Best

Scott

Hi All, I am impatiently waiting for the 2021 Odyssey range to be released/pre-ordered. The above images appear to be flat screen variants, have they always been available (the G7 is 28") or are they the ones to be released this year? Plus the G9 of course.

Did you own the previous plague ridden G7/9 series?

I am back on 32" flat and like many reviewers find it is a bit too much eye movement, curved was better.

I tried curved monitor but it dind't work for me so i returned it. Beside gaming i do little programming, photoshop, movies and that curved screen is too weird for me. 27 monitors doesn't need curve, flat panel would work perfectly for va panel.

Had my g7 32” since February , no issues at all. Fallout 76 is what I play and it’s perfect. The curved screen is effortless to use & don’t notice it whilst playing games, if anything easier on the eyes than a flat32”
