It’s pretty sad we still have to roll the dice on monitor QC. On monitors at this end of the market I’d be expecting perfection.
agreed, does seem pretty poor, easy problem for Samsung to identify and fix.

I'm the exact opposite: I can't stand neat and tidy desks! I like my little figurines and trinkets and rubbish, the more the merrier!Man, I couldn't work on such a cluttered desk..
Oh yes. To make the experience even more fun....
Yodel. Yes. Yodel. The adventures continue
I was correct about the adventures......
An early week request for a Saturday delivery (when I'm in...) has been run through the Yodel mind mangle, popped out nice and Yodelised and converted to a quite obvious "Tues 1st September". When I'm not in.
I mean, if I asked for Saturday delivery, I obviously meant the following Tuesday....I would have been stupid to actually want the day I asked for.
Thank you for sharing this. I think I will give this a try. Is it possible to notice that you placed the glue there if in a bright room and you look closely or is it totally invisible? The fix? Sugru. If you don't know it, it's a mouldable glue that turns in into rubber once set (about 24 hours), and it doesn't expand once set. My wife uses it a lot around the house to fix stuff that the kids break.
She used a toothpick to put it in the small gap between screen and bezel and voila. It's not runny and easily removable so there's no risk that you get some on the screen itself.
Alright, there are now 39 entries to the G9 bezel leak spreadsheet.
Most interesting so far, 0 out of 7 G9 manufactured in July 2020 have any bezel leak. Problematic units are (so far) all from May/June 2020.

Thank you for the pictures. Ya this looks like a good fix. Typical me. I actually ordered one on amazon with every colour except black lol.As you can see, because you know there's been a fix you can tell where it is. Otherwise it's invisible.
Just make sure to pick up the black sugru obvious, I know, but there's different colours.

Haha that's fine I ordered some black now. Currently updating firmware from 1004.0 to 1005.4 because I have strange issue where screen stays on with no signal message when I shut off the computer. I don't think it done this on day 1 funny enough but I did have to manually power cycle it to make it come on after booting pc. Hopefully firmware will fix these little issues.
Damn. You definitely need black.
Use a toothpick to pack the gap so to speak, until you can’t see any light bleed.
One small issue is that Sugru doesn’t last long once opened, so you’ll be wasting the whole strip just for a tiny bit. Unless you have lots of stuff to mend tomorrow that is
Going to try this next week have a toothpick at the ready. Did you use the Sugru to actually stick the screen? I can press mine back and the light bleed disappears for a few minutes. Was planning to place the glue and then push back and hope sticks? Or just use more of it all along the gap between bezel and screen and cover the light bleed? I might only be able to do that the gap is pretty small and not sure if I can get glue behind the screen itself. Thanks
Guys, contemplating a G9 (once quality control improves ), but wondered what options there are for replacing the standard stand with somethink like an Ergotron option? I was consdering an Ergotron HX, but the weight of the G9 is pretty close to the max. weight for HX, and I don't know of anything more sturdy. Floor stand maybe?
