** NEW SAMSUNG ODYSSEY G7/G9 MONITORS 27-49" AVAILABLE TO PRE-ORDER **

Actually if you notice they seem to be getting banned and creating new accounts again. The grammar / syntax is very similar. Seems one or 2 really have a beef with OCUK.

Yeah my bad, i only found this one thread and found it relevant as i'm looking at buying a G9 but wanted a relevant, up to date source of info as it comes out and this seemed useful to me

The fact that somewhere else is getting stock 12th Oct i thought would be useful to those wondering about the current situation since it seems that OCUK aren't wanting to respond to this thread any more (p.s. i have no beef with anyone here whatsoever, i'm just another end user who's reading a thread started by someone who then doesn't seem to follow up when people ask them to. Seem reasonable enough?)

Keep the useful info coming though... and if it gets me banned for mentioning somewhere else is getting stock of a unicorn product then fine, couldn't really care less and i'll go on my life as i was before

Hi all,

It did arrive Sat so kudos to the chap that said it would.

Model code: LC49G95TSSUXEN
Version Number: FA01
Manufacturing Date: June 2020
Light Leak present: **WHAT AM I LOOKING FOR?**
Ordered/Received: 26th Aug / 29th August 2020 BUT originally ordered early June and that just never arrived.

I don't know what to look for on the light leak front. Could you point me at it please.

cheers

1. Turn off all light sources in your room, make it as dark as possible.
2. Turn up brightness of the monitor to 100.
3. Now display a white image.
4. Check whether at the top between bezel and panel there are any gaps where light is leaking out.

FYI I got a G9 delivered on Saturday - no bezel light leak I can see or dead pixels.

Only issue I have sometimes spotted is very infrequently, a flicker in one part of the screen (middle left). It hardly ever does it but have seen it a few time when just in Windows (not in games). I've now updated Windows, drivers and updated monitor firmware to latest version.

I'll see how it goes, definitely not thinking I will return it for this. It feels like something that ultimately would be fixed with either firmware or driver rather than any sort of manufacturing or parts issue.

This thing is glorious, I cannot keep away from this PC now.

Have to agree, I have the G7 32 with no issues apart from mild flicker in loading menus for games. I played on 60hz for too long and thought my old rush gaming skills had left me. Got this thing and the kill rate is back to a respectable standard.

I've checked the bezel as above, doesn't currently look like any lightbleed but only used it for an hour. Maybe as time goes on it may appear but doesn't seem a problem now.

Lovely looking device tho. Real step up from the crg9.

I have 9 days to return, they know I am not using it fully due to the issues.

If I have to fix all my running background programs windows positions again on the monitor powering on/off I will go mad.

I have no clue why Samsung hide (if it even has them) the DP/HDMI Deep Sleep settings as I would like to see what changing them does to this monitor.

Did you ever figure this one out? I have the same issue on the G9, my windows are all over the place when I first boot up. And the g-sync compatible alert keeps popping up as if I've just connected a new monitor. I disabled the alert, and I can live with moving windows around, but it's still a pain in the bum.
