Does anyone have word of when new stock is landing from the samsung factory? Units made in August should be shipping soon...
Just out of curiosity, have any of you noticed prominent overdrive artefacts at 120/240Hz with adaptive sync on (like when something like the side of a building is going past against the sky)? I’m trying to figure out if it is an issue with just my monitor or an issue in general? I’m going to play with the settings with adaptive sync off to see if I can minimise the issue.
I'm with you 100%Great summary above. I had similar experiences, and found point 4) the most annoying by far for me! So you are not the only one with that issue.
Add to this though that i also had a dead pixel in the middle left of the screen. So frustrating as in my mind, there is no excuse for this as it can be seen with the naked eye and should even be automatically spotted at the factory by a high resolution camera during QC before the screen panel is even fitted inside the monitor frame. What they would rather do is save a few bucks and ship it out anyway and hope you just accept the flaws.
I would even pay a premium for a screen which guaranteed coming with no dead pixels. Same as they bin CPUs why cant they bin screens.
Same here. Let me know know if you find oneMine was collected today
shame 1 issue meant it had to back. Waiting for a refund then will order another as soon as I see one in stock. It’a a killer monitor and willing to have patience until I get a fault-free one.
Place where I bought mine from has confirmed the fault (light bleeding through the bezel) and have given me a refund as there's no solid date on when new stock will be received.
Doesn't seem to be anywhere at the moment with these in stock. Anybody got an August revision of the G9?
So, when adaptive sync is off and I have "Response Time"="Standard" and "Low Input Lag"="On" there are no overdrive artefacts, in fact, I haven't noticed any tearing either, so I might just leave it at that setting. The issue is when adaptive sync is on - I wish I could modify the response time with adaptive sync on.What is your overdrive set to with adaptive sync off? I had to change it to normal/standard (can't remember what it's called), then put adaptive sync back on, that sorted out my problems.

They tested mine and confirmed the flickering fault and then processed refund. They said they hadn't heard anything from Samsung on the status of the G9s, and he was trying to flog me an LG monitor instead...I politely declined...![]()
I have gone for the LG 38” as an alternative and I have to be honest - I’m really really impressed. I think I might actually prefer it!
