New Shiny GPU's Coming Soon - Ordering Process to guarantee highest queue position

I woke up at 3 to watch bits of it and was it me or did they not really show any perf data off?

I really hope OCUK has some good anti-scalp setup for the 5070 lol

idk their charts claim 30-40% performance in just RT and then like 80%-100% with DLSS on over their outgoing 40 series

I have to say the 5080 price was a lot less than I thought it was gonna be. I'll probably get one if it performs at 4090 level or higher. A 4090 is 2500 here, so a 1400 5080 sounds great to me

UK nvidia site states 30th Jan for the FE, hopefully retailers will do the partner cards the same day.

The classic comparing apples or oranges. I hope NDA drops the day before release.

5080 or even the 5070 Ti looks to be a decent upgrade over my current 3080.
Same path as me, on a 3080 but eyeing up the 5080*

*maybe even 5090 but if I need to change my 1000W PSU then may just get the 5080, should be good enough for ultrawide gaming at high/ultra.

When the 40 series came out did the aibs launch on the same day or shortly after? It’s 30th of Jan launch for the fe isn’t it

5090 looks to be more of a workstation/professional card to me. I too game at UW (3440x1440) and I suspect the 5090 would be a complete waste.

I thought these 5080 was being released first is it both launching on the 30 of January?
5090 and 5080 in Jan, the rest in Feb.

Hopefully get some reviews soon, I'm at 5120*1440 and I think the 5080 should suffice but let's see

IDK, there will be games that will push the 5090. I play VR sims, the quest for clarity via supersampling is endless, there is no max. I have to do 1.1x in LMU with a 4080, but I can do 1.4x in iracing and ac and AMS2 and they are all very clear on the quest 3, though not quite monitor clear... though not jagged at all, either I must say.

But that 5090 price is just... it's silly. Like I said before, even if you can stomach paying it, people will think you're ridiculous. I'd feel like I could never really criticize anyone's decisions ever again. The founder 5090 will be VERY difficult to get here in Canada, so that 3k msrp is gonna be more like 4k with taxes and AIB upcharge. And that's a lot of money. You can buy like, a car or a motorcycle or a boat or something for that much. Not great ones, but I'm just trying to say that once it gets over 3 grand canadian, it's beginning to be a real amount of money
