New summer transfer thread

Yakubu has been left out of Boro's squad for there match at Fulham tomorrow, fuelling rumours that he's off to Everton.

So he should be after his performance on Wednesday. I wanted him to stay but after his first two performances of the season it's pretty clear he is trying to engineer a move away. Disgrace for a so-called professional.

Parker is capable, and we have other players that can also play there. We're not desperate but we could do with someone with experience :)

Gutted. Whose gonna fall over more? Johnson or Yak. I'd rather we struggled on with what we have and not waste well over 10 million on a player who in less than 2 years will be engineering a move elsewhere.

When a player does what he's doing at middlesborough you can see thats the kind of loyalty and integrity you are buying.

Moyes should stick to doing what he does best, couple of million pound players that want to play for the club.

I know your not keen dannyjo22 but i think he will score goals for you and its just a case of if he and johnson can play together well .

Don't mind if the Yak leaves as long as we get a decent price for him and a decent replacment for him.

Dissapointing to see him go but we are only a small club and any offer over £10m has to be seriously considered.

Luke Moore would be a good move if Yak leaves i could see him and Mido linking up very well

No official reports the Yakubu is not in the squad

It seems to have come straight from SKY who have been consistently trying to unsettle him all summer, so lets wait and see if he is with them tomorrow wil be interesting to see.

Southgate seems to be looking to bring in some experience as well before the end of the season as well and said he is still looking to strengthen the squad as a whole

I don't think he'll go for 10m, I'm guessing 8m is tops what Everton will pay.

If that's the case he won't be going anywhere in the current transfer climate.

Also, Southgate said Yak was traveling with the team tomorrow. Whether he plays or not is another thing. Here's hoping he plays, bags a goal or two and his form was only a dip rather then him not giving a ****. Won't keep my fingers crossed thou.

You think that the Yak will attract £13m. He is a bit hit inconsistent isn't he

Inconsistent in the sense he can turn up for only half a season and still bag 19 goals in all competitions then yes. Dread to think how good he could be if he actually turned up for a full season.

I wonder what Everton fans think of signing the Yak at the price or if they would prefer to get a player that is a little more entertaining. The kind that really gets the players on their feet and you would pay good money to go and watch.

Not having a go at Everton or their fans but I really do hate the brand of football Everton play under Moyes. Its getting tiresome see clubs spend lots of money on players who continue to perpetuate this "Dogs of War" attitude and style of play
