New Test Drive Unlimited Screens

One thing worrys me with this game however. I think in some ways they have been too ambitious. It makes me wonder what polishing they have had to sacrifice to get all the extra content in there.
You can never be too ambitious, the continuous striving to better whats there is what drives the gaming market forward. IF they weren't trying so much it would just be another game.

If I was advertising it I'd be "See the set of LOST!" in mine, probably get more people buying it. I'd have all the plane parts on the beach too.

While the trailer looks totally awesome, I have a few concerns. The main one is the vehicle physics. The cars don't look right on the road, and the bike looked even worse. There is one stage in the trailer that the bike is mid-wheelie and turns on it's rear tyre as if on a pivot. I realise this is an arcade style game, not a simulation, but if the cars don't drive right, it will ruin the whole experience.

Roll on the demo though.

Yep, NFSU has thats problem IMO, cars just dont feel attached to your input in the way they do with PGR3.

The other thing it looks like from the screenies, is they are doing the same as PGR in no in game AA but it is on for dealers and photo shoot type things.

The graphics power is supposed to be based on X1800's so running 4xAA on a 1366x768 res picture should not be a problem, I really wish the coders would actually optimise the code so it looked that bit better, the hardware should be capable of it.

Will be getting the demo once its out and deciding from there, I remember playing the first test drive on a m8's system way back :)

so right about the physics, the handling just doesnt look right, the bike appearred to be floating.

they still have a few months to tweak though

Cant wait for the demo now.. After seeing the E3 trailer I think it looks promising..

I hope you can drive anywhere. I saw in the demo the Ferrari going over some meadows of some sort, really hope you drive off road..

The problem i have with what i've seen is that the handling looks way off.And when it comes down to it,thats the most important factor about a racing game,no matter how many bells and whistles you stick on.

And i still havn't seen a game with better crash physics than Need For Speed on the 3DO.In fact i don't think there has been a better driving game since.
