I don't like Evans

He's going to have the hardest job turning any fan round, good luck with that

Nothing against personally Evans but I'm not a fan and have no real hope for TG now. If it failed to do well in international sales, where it did well with Clarkson et al, I wonder if the BBC would scrap it?

I'd imagine if it nosedived, so would the budget, downward spiral from there

Chris Evans is the reason I don't listen to Radio 2 in the mornings. I can't stand his voice.

As TG is a quite specific format I bet that's kept with Evans saying "some say he wishes Jeremy Clarkson was still presenting the show and that he can't wait for his contract to expire. All we know is he's called the stig."

I like Evans and he's into his cars, so there's hope. I hope it is mor serious than before, though that would probably appeal to fewer people. Personally I lost interest in Top Gear as IMO, it became too farcical. It all depends on the style of the new show and the cohosts. Trying to emulate TG will end in disaster IMO, so hopefully it isn't just a copy and paste job.

** The swear filter is there for a reason ** the BBC - I am only interested in when the proper 3 go to a proper channel. It would be like Knight Rider without Michael and KITT or A Team without B.A, Murdoch and the other 2.

Me too.

Not just his voice tho; he's so insincere. He says what he thinks people want to hear, and you can tell his gushing praise for all his guests is total bullocks.

I really can't stand him.

Man that is terrible.

Thing is, Clarkson was heavily involved in Production of TG, so this is going to be a kid free, pure PC safety first version.

Utterly terrible, it will be laughed off the air.

This. The beeb clone or the (insert other channel).. Same tyred* formula, if either brings a fresh composition to the table great, but I have a feeling the beeb version will be a carbon copy with new presenters, and the terrible trio will do the same with thier new show... It jc and co will become more extreme, and it will be less of a car show, and more of a 'jackass' show that's nothing to do with cars and just about doing crazy stuff that happens to involve cars.
