Newcastle takeover???

I would prefer Poch but would be happy to see Raffa back.

I agree here. I would prefer to see someone try a different squad shape / tactical shift. We've been looking at the same 5 at the back football for years now and although I trust Rafa, I would like to see some kind of change.

That should end it. It cant pass the test now surely.
The only thing that gives me a little hope is the Premier league apparently got the docs last month and it was leaked that it still passed and the Premier league have already referenced the PIF as a “Company in Saudi Arabia” . But yeah the way Newcastle United fans luck goes this kills it.

does the WTO have any legal power anyway?

If a state funded company with it's disgraceful human rights record and now piracy links passed this test then you might aswell just scrap it. With BEIN being a large influencer in all this I just can't see it.

Money talks at the end of the day and this will end up in the courts if its turned down

Typical Manc, Newcastle fans arnt allowed to get excited about getting rid of a leach on our club

Nothing to do with that, it's more your repeated arrogant dismissal of any constructive discussion just because you don't understand it. Obviously there's also a significant degree of cringe when it comes to certain fans celebrating being taken over by a group of people who stand firmly against our values, but you do you.

Might not fall through yet. Nothing would surprise me.

I dismissed it because people like George Caulkin who is close to Amanda Staveley dismissed it “ not because I don’t understand it”.
You mean the same Saudis that put money into Manchester United?, I have already said I would take someone like FSG any day of the week over the Saudis but beggars can’t be choosers.

Your right it might still go through as this was the “explosive new evidence” that was submitted at the start of the month and there has already been leaks last week that it was passed.
If it is turned down the legal battle will be epic” main trade partners” with the U.K. but not good enough to own a football club in the premier league.
Also, this would have to be brought to the attention of the PL and the consortium before today, and im presuming it would have been answered by the consortium as this has apparently been ongoing for 18 months

And I more than sympathise with the Newcastle situation, I've never said otherwise. It's admittedly not as bad, but our own owners aren't great.

Be interesting to see how it plays out, it's a huge moment for the Premier League regardless.

At least your owners invest I would also take them in a second over Ashley.
Your not wrong there, this is a huge moment and it wouldn’t surprise me it the rules are totally rewritten after this(pass or fail), it also wouldn’t surprise me if the government did indeed apply pressure to the PL because the political embarrassment would be huge on both sides.

I want this takeover to go through. £100m for Shaq will pay for Havertz.
PMSL you can **** off, on a serious note I would take him as he would improve our squad. You don’t think Newcastle fans actually think we’re going to sign players like bale. We were linked with stones, Barkley and inngs which is far more likely, which I would actually prefer.

No they don't, they've literally invested nothing and taken a huge amount out of the club.
Mate you have spent close to £1bn since 2010, have expanded the stadium to over 75000, have some of the best training facilities in the world and are considered to still be one of the biggest most profitable clubs in the world even after 6 years of decline. just because you don’t like your owners(I don’t blame you) you can’t say you haven’t spent an awful lot of money. Try comparing that to Mike Ashley and come back to me.

I don't think Shami was saying Utd haven't spent money, he was just disputing the point that their owners have invested. It's well documented that under the Glazers hundreds of millions have been taken out of the club to service the debt they put the club in, pay them dividends and various management fees.

Yeah you seem to not be understanding the difference between the club spending what it makes and a club spending what is invested in it (Chelsea and Man City) Our owners have not invested a penny.

Yeah fair one I probably should have said spent money and invested in the stadium and facility’s.
I do understand where Manchester United fans are coming from because I have seen it happen 10 fold at my club, but most fans as long as they see investment on the pitch aren’t really bothered about what happens behind the scenes
