Next England Manager

Carsley named his first squad today.

Still no Ben White, what is the matter with that boy, does he really dislike football that much that he’d rather have a week off than play for England?

Thrres no requirement that just because your good you have to play for your country

Longer he doesnt play better it is for arsenal anyway :D

I still think it'll be Howe. England have a load of nothing games they should win comfortably in the next half a year or so. If Newcastle aren't in or around the top 4 or 5 by January I think we'll conveniently see Howe's "taken them as far as I can, need a different project" resignation speech and be appointed England gaffer by Easter in time for the WC qualifiers.
Personally I think this is spot on, and furthermore I hope it's right as I rate Howe highly.

He’s at least got a bit of top flight experience as a manager but really not sure he’ll want to quit Newcastle unless he’s fired.
howe and the new director of football dont see eye to eye though do they

howes disappointed they didnt get the targets he wanted

Still can’t see him walking away, if they sack him he will pocket a nice sum if he quits he just get the poisoned chalice that is the England gig where unless he wins the World Cup playing like vintage Holland he will be labelled a failure!

I’d hang tight and take the pay off, England will come round again!

I can't see him just walking away either. I can see him thinking he has done what he can if they continue to starve him of resources. Will be a convenient parting from both parties with neither one of them losing face. You've got to think he'd jump at working with the type of players he'll have at his disposal with England though.
If they play in the way and at the levels Newcastle do (or he'd like them to), that side would have blown away every team they played in the Euros and be 4-0 up by half time in each game.

I might start watching England matches again just to see how many players he can fall out with and who ends up starting at the next WC.
