I hear you on that one. The tablet software isn't upto par vs iOS ones either but I am willing to make some sacrifices too. From what I've seen on my S3 all my main key apps seem to be on the play store so I could be in luck.

That's the thing - if I didn't have an iPad 2, then I would probably get the Nexus 10. But I can't fault the performance of the Pad and I'm 13 months in with it so the 7 is perfect for me.

Just cancelled my iPad order and thought I would wait it out now and see which is better. Didn't realise this was coming out so soon.
I have the original iPad which is long in the tooth now and a Nexus 7 which I think is absolutely brilliant and does everthing. So i'm hoping the 10 will fit the bill perfectley.

My only annoyance too. Most people will simply tell you to use a mobile hotspot off your phone, however it isn't always convenient.
Just wow, that's pretty incredible from Google. With a good phone and tablet at those prices, they could have just absolutely cornered the mid-range market.
(I'm not calling the tablet and phone specs mid-range, but the prices are. That's why it's so impressive.)

I was looking at the Note 10.1 but I'd heard that the screen resolution wasn't very high. It looks like it'll be worth waiting a couple of weeks for the Nexus 10.

In my opinion Apple deserve a kick up the arse by a strong competitor (like google), hopefully they'll be more innovative with future products, a little bit more kinder with their prices and maybe treat their customers a little better.
I've been a big Apple fan but I'm fed up of the shenanigans Apple pull, I'll be trading in / selling the iphone 4 32gb to get a 16GB Nexus 4 and if I had not bought an ipad 3 64gb in August I'd be going for the nexus 7 3g.

I'd also like to know this, I currently have a SGS2 and was considering the switch to a windows phone and surface. However, if this could at least do basic editing of office documents and spreadsheets with a decent app I would be ecstatic.
Have just seen the above. I also heard a rumour that office would be coming to android in 2013, do we think there will be any truth to this?
